Muslim Marine Explains Why We Shouldn’t Own ‘War Like’ AR-15s

Absent facts or legal standing, the gun control argument rests entirely on the emotional plea that nobody needs “weapons of war” or “military-style” firearms to protect themselves. One guy who calls himself the “Muslim Marine” has added to this with the fake terms “war like” and “battlefield type” to explain why we don’t need and shouldn’t own AR-15s.

Mansoor Shams goes by the Twitter handle “Muslim Marine” and describes himself as an educator who counters Islamophoboa. Proving there’s truth in labeling, Shams dropped this sham of a gun control thread:

All anti-gun nuts start their arguments with: “I support the 2nd Amendment, but…”

War like? Also: The difference between his M16 and an AR-15 is that they are very different is a poor argument.

While this is a terrible argument against owning semi-automatic firearms, it’s a great argument for owning tanks and F-16s.

Then again, you can also shoot things much closer than 500 yards with an AR-15.

So it’s a firearm?

I would imagine that a “battlefield type” weapon would belong on something that isn’t specifically a battlefield, but like a battlefield.

The 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution has no clause that says the right to bear arms is conditional. There is nothing that says that because a small number of criminals may break the law, everyone is denied that right.

I appreciate this guy’s service, but his bullshit gun control argument violates his oath to defend the Constitution.
