The Blue States Are Now the Beggar States

Every liberal Democrat in Congress, from Senator Elizabeth Warren to Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, will vote for the blue-state bailout. But do they understand that in doing so, they are attesting to the collapse of the very blue-state liberal model they want to impose on all of America? Most don’t understand. They’re following the direction of their Deep State leaders. Those few who do understand see the collapse of America as their goal. Information for this article was obtained from an article written by Stephen Moore on Townhall.

Biden wants to give some $400 billion to the failed blue states. Money to be taken mainly from the prospering red states, the ones that wisely didn’t shut down their economies or schools. In other words, the blue states are to get bigger slices of the pie.

Republicans are calling the Biden $1.9T plan a ‘blue state bailout package.’ For Democrats, there’s no shame in spending other peoples money. This they do well.

Why New Yorkers put up with economic disasters such as Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio, or why Californians tolerate Governor Gavin Newsom, is their own business. But now elected Democrats are making this the business of the successful red states too.

The high-brow people of Beverly Hills, California, and Long Island, New York, blue-staters, are begging people in West Virginia, Arkansas, Mississippi, etc., red-staters, for money.

Not surprisingly, many blue-state residents now realize the socialism of their Democrat leaders is not the way they want to live. They see that the problem with socialism is that they are running out of other people’s money. And with the money gone, they intend to become gone too.

The latest census data and U-Haul trailer rental data confirm that people in blue states are “voting with their feet” and accelerating their race to get out of blue states.

Following are some examples of differences between red states and blue states currently in America,

Everything is open in Florida. The beaches, the hotels, the restaurants (with some sensible safety and social distancing restrictions). The classrooms are full. And the people are happy. They’re playing tennis and golf. They’re going to work and getting on with their lives. Florida is a Republican, can-do kind of place.

Then, there is New York. Manhattan is a morose and deserted place to be. It’s as if it’s boarded up. People are living their lives afraid. They are depressed, which makes the whole place depressing.

In Southern California, the same dreariness exists. The weather is warm and sunny, but restaurants are closed or highly restricted. Stores are sparsely attended, and people are generally grimacing and standoffish. They yelp in horror when someone removes their mask.

Yet through it all, there is almost no evidence that lockdowns, business closures, stay-at-home orders, and other strategies have reduced the infection rates or death rates from the virus. As an example, open Florida has had a lower death rate (adjusted for the age distribution of the population) than closed-down California and New York. Even Biden’s crackerjack health officials can’t explain that one.

Fifty states experimented with responses to the virus and the verdict is in: The big blue states got crushed. The highest unemployment states are Hawaii, Nevada, California, Colorado, New York, New Mexico, Rhode Island and Connecticut. On average, the blue states have 2 percentage points lower unemployment, which means millions of more jobless citizens. Their revenues have collapsed, with businesses closed down.

Obvious to a majority of the population now: The blue state liberal model is not working.

The “progressives” in these states voted for higher taxes, more regulations, high energy prices, and economic lockdowns. That’s democracy in action. But the people don’t like living like this. The New York Post reports about 1,000 Northeasterners every day are relocating to Florida, Texas, and Tennessee. The biggest population losers last year were deep-blue New York, Illinois, and California.

What say you Def-Con News readers? Will this two-decade-plus period of time in America be remembered as The Great Political Migration? And will those people who moved from blue states to red states be sensible enough to leave behind their political persuasion? Because if they continue to vote Democrat, history will repeat itself.
