The witch hunt continues…
Now that the Justice Department is back under Democrat control, the one-party regime will weaponize the agency against its political enemies as it seeks to permanently cement itself into total power.
The impetus for the coming state crackdown is the events of January 6th when a group of Trump supporters protesting for election fairness briefly occupied the U.S. Capitol along with leftist provocateurs including at least one who was being paid by propaganda network CNN.
The incident at the Capitol was so quickly utilized as a Reichstag Fire type of event to position over 20,000 troops in Washington D.C. to “protect” the installation of senile puppet Joe Biden into the White House as a result of the rigged election that was being protested.
The accompanying media hysteria and massive federal law enforcement operation to hunt down and round up the thousands of people in Washington for the Stop The Steal rally along with the Democrat-controlled Congress’s push for terrifying new domestic terrorism laws to be used against Trump supporters were a sign of what is yet to come.
Now that rejected SCOTUS nominee Merrick Garland has been confirmed as Biden’s attorney general with massive GOP support, the DOJ will not only be targeting supporters of the former POTUS but also Trump himself, a continuation of the Russiagate hoax that consumed the first three years of his historic presidency.
On Sunday, CBS flagship “60 Minutes” gave a national forum for a top federal prosecutor to put Trump on notice that he could soon be hit with concocted charges that he incited the so-called “insurrection” against the Democrats.
“It’s unequivocal that Trump was the magnet that brought the people to D.C. on the 6th,” said prosecutor Michael Sherwin.

Via The Washington Examiner, “Prosecutor again hints at Capitol riot sedition charges and scrutiny of Trump’s role”:
The federal prosecutor who recently left the nationwide federal investigation into the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6 said the Justice Department was scrutinizing possible sedition charges against rioters as well as examining any criminal liability for former President Donald Trump.
Michael Sherwin, the former acting U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, told Scott Pelley on CBS’s 60 Minutes that authorities are investigating Trump’s role and that he also believed the evidence existed to file sedition charges against some of those involved in the Capitol riot. The prosecutor has been hinting at both since January.
“It’s unequivocal that Trump was the magnet that brought the people to D.C. on the 6th,” Sherwin said in the interview that aired on Sunday. “Now the question is, is he criminally culpable for everything that happened during the siege, during the breach?”
Sherwin said Trump’s words drove the rioters to action.
“We have plenty of people — we have soccer moms from Ohio that were arrested saying, ‘Well, I did this because my president said I had to take back our house.’ That moves the needle towards that direction. Maybe the president is culpable for those actions. But also, you see in the public record, too, militia members saying, ‘You know what? We did this because Trump just talks a big game. He’s just all talk. We did what he wouldn’t do,'” he added.
Sherwin, who will now be heading off to work at the U.S. attorney’s office in Miami, was asked on Sunday about possible sedition charges against rioters.
“I personally believe the evidence is trending towards that, and probably meets those elements,” Sherwin said, adding, “I believe the facts do support those charges, and I think that, as we go forward, more facts will support that.”
Despite a major setback when it was revealed that despite major media reporting and congressional deception that Capitol Hill Police Officer Brian Sicknick didn’t die from being bludgeoned with a fire extinguisher wielded by a Trump supporter but the narrative was established that Trump was to blame.
The unprecedented action of the nation’s largest federal law enforcement making such a move against a former president has America on a course into uncharted waters as Washington is at open war with half of the nation.
