A Narrative Collapse in Chauvin Trial

There is almost no reason to trust the media today. Their turn toward increasingly crude propaganda undermines their self-image as an important check on power.

hough not as prominent as the George Zimmerman prosecution, the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for the death last year of George Floyd is currently underway. The trial result threatens to set off another round of violence and official anti-white racism.

Some of the facts are well known, due to ubiquitous camera phones that captured Floyd’s last moments. Floyd, a lifelong criminal and convicted felon, had tried to pass a counterfeit bill earlier in the day. Following a complaint from the store owner, the police came to arrest him. He acted erratically during his encounter with the police, the police restrained him, and he died.

While Chauvin and two other officers kept Floyd restrained with their body weight for some time, during which Floyd complained he couldn’t breathe, autopsy evidence pointed to a drug overdose as the cause of death.

After his death last year and the widespread dissemination of the video of his police encounter, a concerted campaign by activists, the media, and corporate America made Floyd the spark for a summer of “mostly peaceful” protests on behalf of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Trial Is Not a Slam Dunk So Far

Thus far the state appears more competent than the team brought in against Zimmerman. Chauvin also appears to have very competent defense counsel. When a defendant has a good lawyer, this is half the game. While the jury is not perfect from a defense standpoint, it is not terrible either. That said, every single member of the jury pool expressed fear that a defense verdict would lead to retaliation.

As for Chauvin, I am inclined to think he is not guilty of the murder charges, not least because a murder case requires the murderer actually to cause the death of the victim. A merely incidental form of violence followed by a death does not cut it. Floyd did not die of trauma, asphyxiation, or anything else that happened during the arrest. He ingested large quantities of drugs and had an overdose; the state’s autopsy says so. The video evidence also shows this, once you are aware of what to look for.

The length of time and manner in which Floyd was restrained looked a bit unusual. It is also possible Chauvin is guilty of battery. But there are many times when similar violence—chokeholds, batons, or tasers—is required, and Floyd was a very big man who was high on drugs at the time and resisting arrest.

Observers following the trial closely have described most of the prosecution witnesses and evidence as middling at best. Some of the eyewitnesses who cajoled the police were less than impressive on the stand, several being admonished by the judge for giving evasive answers. One older black gentleman urged Floyd to stop resisting arrest, which provides some context for the police behavior. And, in the biggest surprise, while we were told George was crying for his mama as he lay dying on the street, it turns out his drug addict girlfriend was saved in his phone as “Mama.” She also revealed Floyd had dealt drugs, had a similar overdose only months earlier, and recently relapsed.

The media has mostly downplayed these details.

White Supremacists Wearing Realistic-Looking “Black Men” Masks Continue Attacking Asians

Back in 2017, this mentally handicapped black supremacist who was probably advised by a Jewish lawyer to call every white person he attacks a “suspected white supremacist” warned us that despite all the video evidence that seemed to show his co-blacks rapin’ and burglarizin’ and mobbin’ and wildin’ was probably the work of white supremacists skilled at the art of tricknology:

There are several companies that make realistic looking “Black men” masks, and white supremacists are using these masks to commit crimes, like bank robberies,etc. I wonder what other crimes they could be committing using these masks?

Last week provided ample evidence of how right he was. We are a nation in the throes of anti-Asian violence committed exclusively by white supremacists wearing rubber black-dude masks, as all of the following stories will demonstrate.

In Tacoma, Washington — easily the biggest shithole in the Pacific Northwest — a 15-year-old white supremacist wearing a black-man mask was arrested after he was mentally retarded enough to post a video of himself taunting and assaulting an Asian couple — which, as we all know, is something that white supremacists and never blacks are wont to do. Just look at WorldStarHipHop — it teems with millions of videos of white people in black rubber masks assaulting nonwhites who, due to the rampant violence against their dusky ilk in this country, are forced to go about their daily chores hiding behind thick layers of whiteface.

In Manhattan, a 38-year-old white man named Brandon Elliot — free as a bird after stabbing his mother to death in 2002 because we all know that this country doesn’t take white crime seriously — was arrested after he donned his black-man mask, knocked a Filipino woman to the ground, stomped on her, and told her “You don’t belong here.” New York mayoral candidate Andrew Yang, showing that his true color is yellow, said that the victim “could easily have been my mother.” The Chicago Sun-Times neglected to mention the assailant’s race, but made sure to inform readers that the neighborhood where the attack occurred was “predominantly white.”

Also in Manhattan, the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is searching for the white man who donned a black-man mask, uttered an anti-Asian slur, and struck a 37-year-old Asian woman in the back of the head on a subway platform.

Yet again in New York City — which is ashamed of giving us Donald Trump but seems to shrug at this sort of shit — a video shows a white man in a black-man mask punching an Asian man on a Brooklyn subway train until he fell to the floor, curled up in the fetal position, convulsed with each additional blow, fell unconscious, and then had his face slammed into a seat.

In Seattle, a self-hating white-supremacist Black Lives Matter activist who joined the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone last summer and has made social media posts condemning white supremacy and anti-Asian hate crimes has been arrested and charged with two anti-Asian hate crimes for tossing slurs such as “Fuck you, Asian bitch!” and lobbing projectiles at Asian women in two separate road-rage incidents. 

What’s clearly needed are more marches where blacks and Asians team together to protest violent racist white men wearing black-men masks.

Vaccine Passports Are the ‘End of Human Liberty in the West

The Left would like to dismiss Naomi Wolf as a heretic and conspiracy theorist now that she disagrees with their anti-liberty responses to coronavirus, but her warning about President Biden’s threatened “vaccine passports” should be heeded.

Wolf, who started a tech site that she says is meant to bring the right and left together, says the passport would divide people between haves and have nots: those who have had the COVID shot and those who have not. In her words, it “is literally the end of human liberty in the West if this plan unfolds as planned.”

Here’s what she means, in case you haven’t figure it out yourself.

Vaccine passports sound like a fine thing if you don’t know what those platforms can do. I’m CEO of a tech company, I understand what this platform does. It’s not about the vaccine, it’s not about the virus, it’s about data. And once this rolls out you don’t have a choice about being part of the system. What people have to understand is that any other functionality can be loaded onto that platform with no problem at all.

Wolf told Fox News host Steve Hilton that Big Tech companies will oversee all of your personal information and intermingle it with information that government will use to determine if you’re eligible to be able to travel and do anything else in polite society. President Biden signed an executive order in January to coordinate with other countries to track people to stop the spread of COVID.

Wolf says the move is nothing short of “catastrophic.”

They’re trying to roll it out around the world. It is so much more than a vaccine pass. I can’t stress this enough. It has the power to turn off your life. Or turn on your life. To let you engage in civil society or be marginalized. It’s catastrophic. It cannot be allowed to continue.

Wolf predicts that the vaccine passport would eventually track every aspect of your life.

And what that means is it can be merged with your PayPal account, with your digital currency. Microsoft is already talking about merging it with payment plans. Your networks can be sucked up. It geo locates you everywhere you go. Your credit history can be included. All of your medical history can be included.

In short, it’s not hard to imagine this passport turning into a version of China’s social credit scoring.

In China, if you do what the regime wants you to do, you are accorded points to allow more freedom of movement and other perks. In 2018 Vox reported on the expected rollout of the social credit system in 2020.

Under the system, both financial behaviors like “frivolous spending” and bad behaviors like lighting up in smoke-free zones can result in stiff consequences. Penalties include loss of employment and educational opportunities, as well as transportation restrictions. Those with high scores get perks, like discounts on utility bills and faster application processes to travel abroad.

Mask scolds and Karens in charge of the country’s COVID response wouldn’t dare cut you off from something you love … or would they?

261 Transgender Prisoners Request Transfer Under California Law; 255 to Women’s Prison

Two-hundred sixty-one California state prisoners have requested transfers to facilities that house the opposite gender since a new law went into effect on Jan. 1 — and 255 of them have requested to move from a male to a female corrections facility.

The law, SB 132, provides that a prisoner who self-identifies who is “transgender, nonbinary, or intersex” must be “addressed in a manner consistent with the incarcerated individual’s gender identity,” and be “housed at a correctional facility designated for men or women based on the individual’s preference.” The law applies “regardless of anatomy.” Governor Gavin Newsom signed the law last September, declaring on that occasion that “our march toward equality takes an additional step forward.”

The Los Angeles Times reported Monday that while only a few transfers have been approved thus far, none has been rejected:

Just over 1% of California’s prison population — or 1,129 inmates — have identified as nonbinary, intersex or transgender, according to the corrections department, populations that experience excessive violence in prison. A 2007 UC Irvine study that included interviews with 39 transgender inmates found that the rate of sexual assault is 13 times higher for transgender people, with 59% reporting experiencing such encounters.

So far, the prison system has transferred four inmates to the Chowchilla women’s prison, approved 21 gender-based housing requests and denied none. Of the 261 requests, all but six asked to be housed at a women’s facility.

Some prisoners are also concerned that inmates are making false claims about their gender identity in order to transfer to women’s prisons and say staffers have told them that this has slowed the process.

The Times adds that several inmates are thought to have applied “under false pretenses” and some female prisoners are afraid.

Being Outraged By Stupid Nonsense Replaces Baseball As National Pastime

U.S.—Baseball has long been considered the national pastime of the United States, but many modern audiences now believe the sport is too slow-moving to be enjoyable since the sport takes a modicum of effort to follow and understand. Now surveys show that Americans’ favorite entertainment is the much faster-moving and varied entertainment of getting mad at stupid nonsense they read about online.

“Every day, I log on and find something new to get all worked up about,” explained Peter Maxwell, a frequent member of Twitter mobs. “You never know what each day will bring — well, you do know it will bring more anger and screaming — you just don’t know at who. And to be honest, half the time I don’t even quite understand what I’m mad at. What fun!”

Outrage superfans will even make signs and protest buildings and houses in person, but for most people it’s an online activity where people use social media to signal to everyone how angry they are, showing extreme distress at something they read about and that they most likely will have completely forgotten by the end of the week as they move on to the next outrage target.

Baseball is unsure of how to compete with constant outrage for people’s free time. They’ve reportedly tasked top academics to come up with an argument that the designated hitter rule is racist to get people yelling about it again.
