For most of his million-year political career, Joe Biden was vehemently against packing the Supreme Court with extra Justices to change the political make-up of the bench. Then last October he began flirting with the idea, saying that people would know his position after the election. Now that he’s successfully stolen the White House, he is forming a commission to explore how to pack the SCOTUS with progressive liberals and wipe out the current conservative majority.
Because Biden eventually flip-flops on everything, this announcement came from the White House today:
President Biden will today issue an executive order forming the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States, comprised of a bipartisan group of experts on the Court and the Court reform debate.
The Commission’s purpose is to provide an analysis of the principal arguments in the contemporary public debate for and against Supreme Court reform, including an appraisal of the merits and legality of particular reform proposals. The topics it will examine include the genesis of the reform debate; the Court’s role in the Constitutional system; the length of service and turnover of justices on the Court; the membership and size of the Court; and the Court’s case selection, rules, and practices.
“Size of the court” means the commission will be looking into expanding it by at least 4 liberal judges to nullify the current 6-3 conservative majority of the SCOTUS. It’s a given that the conclusion of this commission has already been reached and they want to present a shiny report explaining why it would be stupid to not pack the Supreme Court.
When Biden says this will be a “bi-partisan” commission he means all manner of leftist will be involved: liberal progressives, progressive liberals, whacko leftist liberal progressives, and socialists will make up the All-Star team of court packers.
Back in 1983 when Biden was a U.S. Senator he made reference to a time when FDR tried to pack the Supreme Court and he was against it:
“President Roosevelt clearly had the right to send to the United States Senate and the United States Congress a proposal to pack the court. It was totally within his right to do that. He violated no law. He was legalistically, absolutely correct. But it was a bonehead idea. It was a terrible, terrible mistake to make. And it put in question, if for an entire decade, the independence of the most-significant body … in this country, the Supreme Court of the United States of America,” said Biden.
And again in 2005, Biden didn’t think it was a swell idea:
Reminder: Biden refers to court packing a “power grab” in 2005:

Then in October of 2020 his stance suddenly shifted when he was asked to tell voters his position on court packing:
“They’ll know my opinion of court packing when the election is over,” Biden said.
Now, with this pseudo commission the “bonehead idea” and “power grab” have transformed into a great idea and power sharing, meaning liberals want it back from the conservatives.
Remember how every day of Donald Trump’s presidency the liberal media and democrats accused him of destroying democracy by denigrating our institutions? Trump never messed with anything, let alone the Supreme Court, but here’s Joe Biden, or his handlers, getting ready to blow up the highest court in the land.
