Romney Treated With All the Respect He Deserves at Utah GOP Convention

Needless to say most Republicans right now are not big fans of Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) because of how he turned on President Trump and threw him under the bus on impeachment, along with other moves where he flip-flopped or sided with Democrats. This from redstate.com.

Romney may have been elected in Utah, but even there, the people are disgusted and have thrown him under the bus.

Romney was booed big time by a crowd of Republican delegates at the Utah GOP Convention. And he deserved every single bit of it — and more.

More than 2,100 delegates were meeting.

[Asinine] Romney asked people what they thought of Joe Biden’s first 100 days, like he expected people to cheer. Then he said it was no secret that he wasn’t a fan of President Donald Trump’s “character issues.” That’s when folks really let him have it with the boos, with some reportedly calling him a “traitor.”

“Aren’t you embarrassed,” Romney asked one of people at one point. Clearly most weren’t, since they kept on booing, and they booed louder after he said that. Maybe it’s Romney who should be embarrassed for basically being a flip-flopping Republican in name only?

They did boo all they liked, and they kept it up, not really buying his claim. They only stopped when the outgoing, state party chair Derek Brown scolded delegates to “show respect” for Romney, which was likely more an effort to be respectful to Brown.

Neither Romney nor Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) seem to get their time is over, that no one is buying what they are trying to sell, that people have had enough of those who will bend over to get whacked by Democrats and say, “Yes, please, may I have another?”

This is the only time that he’s been relatable, when he’s out cold due to Joe Biden’s speech to Congress and not causing any other trouble.

What say you Def-Con News readers? I hope reading this article was as good for you as it was for me. Perhaps the only way it could have been made better would have been if the delegates at the Utah GOP Convention were throwing pitchforks at Romney. What a clueless bastard he is to have even shown his face before a group of pissed-off Republicans. But to ask the delegates what they thought of Biden’s first 100 days? Is there such a thing as justifiable homicide? A question contemplated by many, I’m sure.
