This one should have been simple: On Peace Officers Memorial Day, all Joe Biden had to do was thank police officers for their sacrifice in keeping us safe, but instead he crapped all over law enforcement. The illegitimate president recognized this day by accusing cops of killing “black and brown” people and then reversed an order to fly flags at Half Staff.
Biden issued a proclamation for Peace Officers Memorial Day that started out okay, with him acknowledging cops as essential to our safety. But like everything Biden, it soon went to shit:
This year, we also recognize that in many of our communities, especially Black and brown communities, there is a deep sense of distrust towards law enforcement; a distrust that has been exacerbated by the recent deaths of several Black and brown people at the hands of law enforcement.
Most of which were justified uses of force because these black and brown people were armed and threatening lives. It’s weird how Biden omitted that part, isn’t it?
These deaths have resulted in a profound fear, trauma, pain, and exhaustion for many Black and brown Americans, and the resulting breakdown in trust between law enforcement and the communities they have sworn to protect and serve ultimately makes officers’ jobs harder and more dangerous as well.
While that sounds like a black and brown people problem, Biden insists it’s the cops’ responsibility:
In order to rebuild that trust, our State, local, and Federal Government and law enforcement agencies must protect constitutional rights, ensure accountability for misconduct, and embrace policing that reflects community values and ensures community safety.
What if those “community values” include resisting arrest and attacking police officers?
Biden concluded this crap-fest by calling for “Defund the Police” measures like replacing cops with social workers and other silly shit:
We must also stop tasking law enforcement with problems that are far beyond their jurisdictions.  From providing emergency health care to resolving school discipline issues, our communities rely on the police to perform services that often should be the duty of other institutions.  We then accuse the police of failure when responsibility lies with public policy choices they did not make.
Also in this proclamation, Biden called for flags to be flown at Half Staff, but then changed his mind, as New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu points out:
THREAD: Late tonight Joe Biden quietly tried to reverse his Peace Officers Memorial Day Proclamation, hoping no one would notice they are no longer calling for flags to fly at Half Staff across the USA honoring our men women in blue. This is outrageous and precedent breaking. 1/ pic.twitter.com/05RLqcs5ng

On May 10th, the Biden Administration announced in a release flags would be flying at Half Staff across the country to honor our heroes on the front line. Tonight, in the eleventh hour, the Biden Administration is now no longer calling for flags to fly at Half Staff. 2/ pic.twitter.com/PLMFU8WwNd

Here’s the thing with this: if Biden has simply offered a nice reminder that cops literally put their lives on the line to protect us, nobody would have even noticed. Instead, he allowed Black Lives Matter ideology to infect his statement regarding law enforcement and now everyone knows what radical leftist America-hater he is.
Biden didn’t attract any new support from the radical left with this fiasco, but definitely turned more Americans against him. For a guy with very little support from Americans in the first place, this was a stupid move, even by Biden standards.
