Is everyone ready for a contentious Roe v. Wade Supreme Court battle? Many believe there are too many unknown factors to confidently foretell which way a decision will lean. I’d say odds are no better than 50-50 that conservatives will find comfort with this decision.
It’s been announced this morning that the Supreme Court has agreed to hear a major abortion case that could turn back the horrible decision of Roe v. Wade:
“BREAKING: The Supreme Court agrees to take up a major abortion case that will give the court an opportunity to reconsider Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. The case involves the constitutionality of Mississippi’s ban on most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.”

From Sterns lips to God’s ears. Although, being a staff writer at Slate, his tweet is almost undoubtedly a lament instead of a hope.
There is a common theme of hope that this new Supreme Court could bring about the end of Roe v. Wade. But conservatives know all too painfully well that justices don’t always rule like we want, and that could happen again here.
Many conservatives believe, however, this Court has been composed to hear a Roe v. Wade case and are pleased it will be happening with this Missouri case.
Remember, the incredibly nasty fight over Kavanaugh was really about abortion. The end of Roe v. Wade is what the left fears most, which is why Democratic states like New York made their abortion laws even stronger after Kavanaugh was put on the high court.
Further, I believe, this is at least part of the reason for the challenging confirmation hearings for each of the three new justices. The democrats saw each hearing as their opportunity to intimidate and mold the new justices which they knew would be seated despite their best intentions.
So, with that said, don’t be surprised if these newer justices bow to pressure from the democrats, as Roberts did with Obamacare and with the 2020 Presidential Election challenge. Also, Kavanaugh and Coney-Barret already demonstrated some of that “intimidation” when they voted not to hear the Pennsylvania appeal when that state’s Republicans sought to block a state court ruling that allowed the deadline extension.
We know the democrats want to destroy the Supreme Court by adding more seats to it. And this will be the message they send to these justices, that if they overturn Roe v. Wade, more seats will be added to the court. Then abortion, of course, will again rise up to the SCOTUS when the High Court is stacked with a liberal bent.
