Buffalo Guy’s Legal Defense Is That He’s Apparently ‘F*cking R*tarded’

The leftist agitator who became the face of the January 6 “Capitol insurrection” has a novel legal defense. The lawyer for Jacob Chansley, AKA The QAnon Shaman, AKA The Buffalo Guy plans to argue that his client is “f*cking retarded.” While not hard to believe, it’s unclear if this is a viable defense tactic any judge in the county will accept.

Eco-terrorist and Black Lives Matter supporter Chansley has been promoted by democrats and the liberal media as a hard-core right-wing Trump supporter who destroyed democracy during the mild Capitol protests earlier this year. He was arrested and his lawyer tried to blame Trump for his client’s actions, but that was rejected by a judge.

Undeterred, Chansley’s attorney, Albert Watkins, has come up with a more novel defense that he revealed to Talking Points Memo.

In reference to all of the people the FBI has arrested and charged with crimes related to January 6, including his client, Watkins had this to say:

“A lot of these defendants — and I’m going to use this colloquial term, perhaps disrespectfully — but they’re all fucking short-bus people. These are people with brain damage, they’re fucking retarded, they’re on the goddamn spectrum,” said Watkins.

Just in case some people took Watkins words as being a bit harsh or offensive, he tried to soften the blow with compassion:

“But they’re our brothers, our sisters, our neighbors, our coworkers — they’re part of our country. These aren’t bad people, they don’t have prior criminal history. Fuck, they were subjected to four-plus years of goddamn propaganda the likes of which the world has not seen since fucking Hitler,” Watkins said.

Nice Trump/Hitler comparison. He should know that in the Nuremberg trial, just following orders was not allowed as a defense for Nazis who committed atrocities.

As for the other defense avenue Watkins is pursuing, he’s going to need some solid case history. Perhaps he’ll cite the landmark case of The State of Vermont v. the F*cking Retards, but ultimately Vermont prevailed. The same is true of The F*cking Short-Bus People v. the Board of Education: the mentally challenged did not win.

The easy part of this defense is proving that the guy wearing a buffalo hat and howling in the Capitol ain’t right in the head. The hard part is getting any judge to accept being a screwball excusing people from the consequence of their actions.

A better legal defense would be to argue that Buffalo Guy was paid by leftists groups to infiltrate the Capitol posing as a Trump supporter. I’m sure there’s a Venmo or PayPal receipt to prove this. Just the fact that Chansley is an environmentalist liberal BLM white-hater should be enough to disqualify him as a “white supremacist” Trump supporter that the liberal media and democrats claim were responsible for January 6.

That sounds like a joke but I’m serious. The official narrative is that Trump supporting white supremacists stormed the Capitol to kill democrats and keep them from certifying the stolen election. All that is needed to escape the charges is proof of not being a white supremacist Trump supporter and Buffalo Guy has tons of that kind of evidence.

I don’t normally watch trials but I kind of hope this one is televised. Buffalo Guy is already entertaining enough but his lawyer is balls-out insane. This has the potential to up there with The Tiger King in terms of craziness.
