The Last Refuge Of A Scoundrel: Fading Fauci Resorts To Playing The Race Card

The Fauci Show may be coming to a close as the nation’s public face of COVID is rapidly becoming a liability for the Biden administration and its sweeping social engineering agenda.

Noticeably absent on this week’s Sunday morning talk shows while CDC Director Rochelle Walensky made the rounds was Fauci who has a serious “gain of function” problem as questions swirl over his role in funding dangerous research at the Chinese lab that the virus may have escaped from.

Dr. Fauci had a terrible week; first being pummeled by Senator Rand Paul during an appearance before a Senate committee on Tuesday where he was put on the spot about the Wuhan Institute Of Virology and then being busted for lying to Congress after Paul followed up his testimony with a screenshot proving that he lied.

Far worse for Fauci was the CDC’s surprise reversal of the mask guidelines, a key component of the career bureaucrat’s fearmongering during his near-daily media appearances where he worked hard to string out the crisis indefinitely to prolong his celebrity status.

The 80-year-old bureaucrat who has been dug in at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since Ronald Reagan’s first term and has never had it as good after he became a resistance rock star for undercutting his former boss, then-President Donald J. Trump.

Now that the state of mass hysteria is receding, Fauci is desperate to stay relevant and he has retreated to the last refuge of political scoundrels by playing the race card.

Fauci delivered the commencement address to graduates at Atlanta’s Emory University where made his contribution to deteriorating race relations in America by claiming that COVID has exposed the “undeniable effects of racism” in society.

According to Fauci; “Let us promise ourselves our corporate memory of this tragic reality – that an infectious disease disparately kills people of color – does not fade. Righting this wrong will take a decades-long commitment. I urge you to be part of that commitment,” he said.

Fauci also said of the cases among black people; “Almost all relate to the social determinants of health dating back to disadvantageous conditions that some people of color find themselves in from birth regarding the availability of an adequate diet, access to health care, and the undeniable effects of racism in our society,” he said.

Fauci was also awarded the Emory University president’s medal for his efforts.

His pivot from health “expert” to social justice warrior is yet another example of how Democrats have corrupted every institution with their politics, especially when it comes to race even though such a sick exploitation of the divisive issue is doing long term and perhaps irreversible damage to America.

Walensky also recently used the COVID crisis to promote BLM activism by using her position to advance the idea that racism is a public health threat.

With the masks on the way out and the political dialogue shifting to how to be sure that the “honor system” of who is and who has not taken the “jab” soon to dominate Democrat/media politics, look for Fauci to continue to be eased out the door now that the cat’s out of the bag on Wuhan.
