The CDC has said that people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer have to wear masks outdoors or indoors. Speaker Nancy Pelosi still has a mask mandate for the House chamber which has nothing to do with safety and everything with control. The tyrant was asked about her anti-science mandate and she demonstrated that she actually knows nothing about how COVID-19 spreads or how vaccines work.
Dozens of House Republicans haven’t gotten the COVID-19 vaccination yet. A reporter gave Pelosi a softball to slam the Republicans by asking if they are the reason why masks are still necessary in the House chamber and Madam Speaker whiffed with this anti-science nonsense:
“Yeah, we have to wait for them to vaccinated because they are selfishly a dangerment to people, including staff people here,” said Pelosi.
Dangerment? Pelosi must be jealous of the way Biden is always making up words, so she upped her game.
The thing is, the people in the House, including staff, who have been vaccinated are not in danger of getting COVID-19 from members who haven’t been vaccinated. That’s the whole point of getting vaccinated: so you don’t get the virus.
The bullshit that the CDC says about this is that there is a very small chance that vaccinated people can give the virus to unvaccinated people. We know that Pelosi doesn’t give a shit about unvaccinated Republicans, so this is about exerting her power.
“I join the president in being hopeful that we can reach a place where it’s safe for people to be. What is this, the honor system? The honor system as to whether somebody’s been vaccinated. Do you want them breathing in your face on the strength of their honor?” Pelosi asked.
Again, the problem isn’t unvaccinated people breathing in the faces of vaccinated people. Pelosi’s is no scientist, but she sure is a shrew with this line accusing Republicans of not being honorable. She’s saying that Republicans can’t be trusted to tell the truth about their vaccination status, which is ridiculous. The Republicans who refuse to get vaccinated are very vocal and very proud about it.
“This is about science and governance and science and governance,” said Pelosi.
Huh?
“We have a responsibility to make sure of that the House of the Representatives chamber is not a petrie dish for the uh, because of the selfishness of some not to be vaccinated or to in tiss to wear a mask because it requires us to wear a mask,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi is also jealous of Biden’s cavemen sentence structure, so she’s up her game in this area as well. She’s also stolen some of that Biden logic by saying that because some Republicans won’t wear a mask it requires them to wear a mask.
Pelosi then hinted that she might ban Republicans from the House floor:
“We can come to a place where if you don’t want to wear a mask, if you’re not vaccinated, don’t even come here,” said Pelosi.
Science be damned, it’s all about power and control. She’s going to be crushed when she loses that Speaker’s gavel in 2022.
Pelosi capped this off by claiming, “I know a lot of things as Speaker of the House.”
Are any of those thing COVID-related? Probably not because she laid this down next:
“It’s not a, shall we say, subjective decision,” said Pelosi. “Until everyone’s vaccinated, we wear masks.”
Or until 2022 when she’s reduced to Minority Leader.
