Madame Speaker unleashes a Bidenesque brain fart…
Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi and her refusal to hold Rep. Ilhan Omar accountable for her latest outrageous remarks once again prove that the party of JFK and FDR no longer exists.
Omar ignited a firestorm of outrage last week when she compared the U.S. and Israel to terrorist organizations Hamas and the Taliban and accused the two countries of unthinkable atrocities and crimes against humanity.
It was just the latest in Omar’s long series of smears of the Jewish state and this time it was a bridge too far, resulting in calls for her removal from the powerful House Foreign Affairs Committee, a position that she is unfit for yet was given over senior caucus members as a reward from Pelosi.
There was also the rare rebuke from her fellow Democrats led by twelve Jewish House members who issued a statement calling for her to clarify her remarks; Omar counterattacked by playing the victim and accusing the lawmakers of Islamophobia.
Pelosi once again defended the Somali-born congresswoman, on Friday making it clear that there would be no consequences in response to questions from reporters. Not only did Madame Speaker give Omar another pass but she later slipped up and confessed that she had actually thanked the virulent anti-Semite, an incredible admission that amounts to Pelosi’s official seal of approval.
Pelosi’s gaffe came during a Sunday morning appearance on CNN’s “State Of The Union” where she spewed the usual word salad of lies and talking points to host Dana Bash.
Ilhan Omar equated the U.S. and Israel with terrorist groups.
Nancy Pelosi says Omar “is a valued member of our caucus” and admits Democrats did not “rebuke her.”

Bash teed it up with a question about a statement from Democrat leadership that fell far short of a rebuke of Omar; “I want to ask you about Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, you and other House Democrats issued a pretty rare statement for appearing to, quote, draw false equivalencies and terrorist organizations Hamas and the Taliban.”
She continued “she clarified, she said that she was in no way equating them but since then, she and others don’t seem to be letting this go, Rashida Tlaib, one of her close friends, a member of your caucus, tweeted the following…” Bash said, referencing a tweet where the Michigan Democrat accused the Jewish lawmakers of being racist.
Freedom of speech doesn't exist for Muslim women in Congress. The benefit of the doubt doesn't exist for Muslim women in Congress. House Democratic leadership should be ashamed of its relentless, exclusive tone policing of Congresswomen of color.

Then the octogenarian Pelosi had a Joe Biden moment; “We did not rebuke her. We thanked.. uh, uh… acknowledged that she made a clarification. So, before we go too far down the path,” stammered Madame Speaker who is not used to being confronted by one of the party’s media lapdogs.
Bash pressed on; “These aren’t my words. These are your caucus members’ words,” leading to a brief back and forth over the meaning of caucus member.”
Pelosi then recovered; “Yes, and I will tell you…no, I’m not…I’m responding to that. We…the… Congresswoman Omar is a valued member of our caucus. She asked her questions of the secretary of state. Nobody criticized those, about how people will be held accountable if we’re not going to the International Court of Justice. That was a very legitimate question.” She said, “That was not of concern. Members did become concerned when the tweet that was put out equated the United States with the Taliban and Hamas.”
Bash persisted, “Rashida Tlaib is accusing you of policing women of color.”
Pelosi fired back; “And…and…and then she clarified it. And we thanked her for clarification.”
“So, do you want people to just let it go and move on?” Asked Bash.
The defensive Pelosi huffed; “They can say whatever they want. But what I’m saying is end of the subject. She clarified. We thanked her. End of subject. Whatever people go out and say is up to them. But what we… what happened is a reflection of the respect we have for our member when she made her questions at the hearing, but the disagreement that we have to equate the United States of America with Hamas and the Taliban.” She said.
The message could not be clearer that under Pelosi that the Democratic party is a safe space for the Squad and other anti-Semitic haters in Joe Biden’s America, a place where Jews are now openly attacked on the streets.
