Comparisons of the so-called “insurrection” of January 6th to the most deadly terrorist attack ever perpetrated on American soil have resulted in outrage from the families of those who died as a result of the horrific events of September 11, 2001.
Democrats and their fellow travelers have spent months exploiting a mostly peaceful election integrity protest by supporters of former President Donald J. Trump that went awry when a small number of the overall crowd along with leftist provocateurs briefly occupied the Capitol where they mostly mugged for cameras and took selfies.
Sensing an opportunity to act preemptively against a potential 2024 White House by Trump by blaming it all on him as well as a way to demonize his voters, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Dems sought to create a “9/11 style” commission as a nationally televised spectacle to bolster their hopes of retaining control of Congress in next year’s midterm elections.
Their shamelessly hyperbolic comparisons to both the Holocaust and 9/11 have been bandied about by some of the foulest denizens of the D.C. swamp including Steve Schmidt, co-founder of the Lincoln Project, a gaggle of establishment GOP political operatives whose scandal drenched anti-Trump operation recently endured allegations of sexual abuse and possibly pedophilia against a top member but the sins have already been washed away by a corrupt and complicit media.
Lincoln Project Co-Founder Steve Schmidt says that January 6th was a “profoundly more dangerous event than the 9/11 attacks.”

According to Schmidt who is a veteran of former Senator John McCain’s doomed 2008 presidential campaign, the “insurrection” could likely kill more Americans than the Islamist fanatics and mastermind Osama bin Laden who hijacked four airliners full of passengers on that terrible morning, flying two planes into the World Trade Center.
Such comparisons drew outrage from those who lost friends and loved ones in an attack that resulted in the deaths of over 3,000 innocent people including first responders who perished when the WTC collapsed on top of them during rescue attempts.
Jim Riches who was New York’s Deputy Fire Chief on the day that will forever live in infamy blasted those who exploited the 9/11 attacks for political gain. “It’s a shame,” he said. “Are they kidding me? 3,000 people died, plus we have more people dying from the air that was down there … They’re comparing it to score points politically. The families are really [angry]. When I talk to them, when they compare it to that, they find that outrageous.” Said the now-retired firefighter in remarks to Fox News.
Debra Burlingame, whose brother was the pilot of American Airlines Flight 77 that was crashed into the Pentagon, killing all onboard recently penned an op-ed that was published in the Wall Street Journal expressing her disgust.
According to Burlingame; “The attempt to reconfigure the “domestic terrorist” narrative to fit the horrifying story of Sept. 11 is profoundly disheartening. These two events are fundamentally different in nature, scope and consequences. Mentioning them in the same breath not only diminishes the horror of what happened on 9/11; it tells a false story to the generation of Americans who are too young to remember that day nearly 20 years ago.”
Another who has dishonestly equated 9/11 to the Capitol chaos is Washington Post “reporter” Carol Leonnig who teamed up with fellow WaPo propagandist to write the new book “I Alone Can Fix It,” a sensationalist account of Trump’s presidency.

The disgusting and cynical invocation of 9/11 to aid the Democrats’ ginned-up case against Trump also doesn’t sit well with Joe Connor, whose cousin Steven Schlag was murdered by bin Laden’s butchers while he was working at the World Trade Center.
“They just dehumanize our families for political gain,” Conor said. “I guess they call it gaslighting. They can say these things that will make people believe that these riots were worse than the worst thing that happened on American soil. Either they’re ignorant or they’re just really devious and clever, and you can put nothing past them, because if you’re willing to lie to that degree … It’s a disturbing trend to me.”
There is no level that the Democrats and their stooges won’t descend to in their sick smears to keep Trump away from Washington but this one could seriously backfire, especially with the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks less than two months away, giving Americans an opportunity to draw their own conclusions.
