Tyrants of the Nanny State: When the Government Thinks It Knows Best

By John W. Whitehead & Nisha Whitehead

We labor today under the weight of countless tyrannies, large and small, carried out in the so-called name of the national good by an elite class of governmental and corporate officials who are largely insulated from the ill effects of their actions.

We, the middling classes, are not so fortunate.

We find ourselves badgered, bullied and browbeaten into bearing the brunt of their arrogance, paying the price for their greed, suffering the backlash for their militarism, agonizing as a result of their inaction, feigning ignorance about their backroom dealings, overlooking their incompetence, turning a blind eye to their misdeeds, cowering from their heavy-handed tactics, and blindly hoping for change that never comes.

The overt signs of the despotism exercised by the increasingly authoritarian regime that passes itself off as the United States government (and its corporate partners in crime) are all around us: COVID-19 lockdowns and vaccine mandates that strip Americans of their freedom of movement and bodily integrity; censorship, criminalizing, shadow banning and de-platforming of individuals who express ideas that are politically incorrect or unpopular; warrantless surveillance of Americans’ movements and communications; SWAT team raids of Americans’ homes; shootings of unarmed citizens by police; harsh punishments meted out to schoolchildren in the name of zero tolerance; armed drones taking to the skies domestically; endless wars; out-of-control spending; militarized police; roadside strip searches; roving TSA sweeps; privatized prisons with a profit incentive for jailing Americans; fusion centers that spy on, collect and disseminate data on Americans’ private transactions; and militarized agencies with stockpiles of ammunition, to name some of the most appalling.

Yet as egregious as these incursions on our rights may be, it’s the endless, petty tyrannies—the heavy-handed, punitive-laden dictates inflicted by a self-righteous, Big-Brother-Knows-Best bureaucracy on an overtaxed, overregulated, and underrepresented populace—that illustrate so clearly the degree to which “we the people” are viewed as incapable of common sense, moral judgment, fairness, and intelligence, not to mention lacking a basic understanding of how to stay alive, raise a family, or be part of a functioning community.

It’s hard to say whether we’re dealing with a kleptocracy (a government ruled by thieves), a kakistocracy (a government run by unprincipled career politicians, corporations and thieves that panders to the worst vices in our nature and has little regard for the rights of American citizens), or if we’ve gone straight to an idiocracy.

This certainly isn’t a constitutional democracy, however.

This overbearing Nanny State despotism is what happens when government representatives (those elected and appointed to work for us) adopt the authoritarian notion that the government knows best and therefore must control, regulate and dictate almost everything about the citizenry’s public, private and professional lives.

The government’s bureaucratic attempts at muscle-flexing by way of overregulation and overcriminalization have reached such outrageous limits that federal and state governments now require on penalty of a fine that individuals apply for permission before they can grow exotic orchids, host elaborate dinner parties, gather friends in one’s home for Bible studies, give coffee to the homeless, let their kids manage a lemonade stand, keep chickens as pets, or braid someone’s hair, as ludicrous as that may seem. CDC Head Says She “Can’t Predict” When COVID Will End; Blames Unvaccinated

Via Zero Hedge

Speaking to a gathering of journalists and academics organized by the Health Coverage Fellowship, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky warned that she can’t predict when the COVID pandemic will end – if it ever does – because it largely depends on human behavior, which is, of course, impossible to predict.

Keep in mind, Walensky first gained public notoriety for her tearful outburst back in March, just as COVID deaths in the US were bottoming out.

Now, with cases, deaths and hospitalizations on the decline once again (although you wouldn’t know it from the media coverage, which fixates on Alaska and a few other sparsely populated areas where healthcare resources are scarce) Dr. Walensky is setting the stage for the Biden Administration to continue with its heavy-handed vaccination mandates, even as more scientists speak up to question whether these vaccine supplies might be put to better use in the emerging world.

As more scientists argue that we may be in the midst of the last major COVID wave (before it morphs into a flu-like endemic seasonal virus), Dr. Walensky laments that “we have a lot of the science right now; we have vaccines…what we can’t really predict is human behavior. And human behavior in this pandemic hasn’t served us very well.”

Perhaps Dr. Walensky would prefer the US government simply coerce every citizen to accept the vaccine like China has?

She went on to complain that with only 55% of the US adult population vaccinated, there isn’t enough immunity to fend off the next harmful variant that emerges (though notably all of the most dangerous variants so far have emerged outside of the US, including delta).

Dr. Walensky went on to discuss how “dangerous” the delta variant is, citing its “R-naught”. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, the “R-naught” or “Ro” is a measure of the infectiousness of a given virus. The higher the number, the more infectious. In theory, it represents the number of people that every new patient infected with a virus goes on to spread the virus to. Walensky puts the number for delta at as high as 8 or 9. MORE.

Covid-19: A Psychological Military Operation, Part I

By Dr. Igor Shepherd

We are at war, people—a one-sided war. The freedom-fighters of America have lost their way and cannot discern that enemies are deep within their midst. This is because today’s war is psychological. No adversary of freedom has ever before been able to conquer the entire world through military combat—humanity always saw what was coming and fought back. But this time around it is different. Americans and people in other free nations are clueless that they have been under an enemy attack since the inception of Covid-19, and that a diabolical military psyop has been underway.

America’s infiltrated government and military are at the forefront of this psychological operation, along with China. Under the guise of the communist Sustainable Development global agenda, which is deeply rooted in world governments, this crusade to globalize and “reset” the world is in direct opposition to the West’s values and ideals. If it is allowed to come to power, the colossally and cruelty of this new technocratic system will not compare to any previous tyrannical regimes. We are currently witnessing a tiny inkling of that cruelty through lockdowns, forced mask wearing, and the grievous orders eradicating the rights of the non-vaccinated to work, attend theaters, or visit malls. “Hell on earth” is coming because the enemies of freedom have crafted a well-organized global psyop utilizing a fake virus called Covid-19, and their weapons are mind control and DNA-altering vaccines.

What are psyops? Let’s use the US Department of Defense’s own definition on the word, since they have been exercising psychological warfare since World War I:

Psyops are the use of propaganda and psychological tactics to influence emotions and behaviors.

The DOD’s 2004 and 2010 “Counterinsurgency Operations Reports” explain a psyop as the following:

The mission of psychological Operations (psyops) is to influence the behavior of foreign target audiences to support US national objectives. A psyop accomplishes this by conveying selected information and advising on actions that influence the emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of foreign audiences. Behavioral change is at the root of the psyop mission.

Did you catch that last sentence? The goal of a psyop is behavioral change. Behavioral modifications occur through mind control techniques. Psychological operations use multiple layers of deception, and involve numerous players. Because the military is involved, the cover up is extensive. Psyops can be applied to research psychological effects on certain populated areas, for political persuasion, or to invade a country.

The Rwanda Genocide in 1994 is an example of how easily behavior and emotions can be transformed through a well-organized psyop. The Hutu militia exterminated 800,000 Tutsis (Rwanda citizens) in a mere 100 days, proving to the world how ordinary people can be coerced to do unthinkable acts in a short period of time. The planned propaganda included a constant barrage of suggestive messages through radio and newspapers. Schools hopped on board and implemented anti-Tutsi teachings into curriculum. Magazines used reverse psychology and published cartoons showing Tutsis killing Hutus. One publication printed the image of a machete on its front page, with the headline What to do about the Tutsis? That psychological trickery stuck in the minds, and the machete became the weapon of choice. Hutus slaughtered neighbors, friends and wives. Even Hutu priests killed their own Tutsi parishioners.

DOD’s footprints were all over the Tutsi genocide, and I do not believe it was oversight that caused the United States to turn their back on hundreds of thousands of defenseless human beings, especially when they were able to airlift Americans out of Rwanda during the slaughter. In 1996, just two years after the genocide, the US military was in Rwanda training Rwandan military on counterinsurgency training.

Brainwashing

Since the Covid-19 pandemic originated, similar covert psychology has been executed against the masses through extensive media coverage and propaganda. Swaths of falsehoods about the number of Covid cases bombard the news daily. Images of sick people and the “heroes” who tirelessly work on the Covid patients at hospitals are splashed in magazines and websites to create a false reality. Signs and floor stickers warning us to stay six feet apart are plastered in retail stores and restaurants. Cyclical broadcasts over loudspeakers inside public areas remind us to stay distanced and wear masks. Freeway signs everywhere flash intrusive pandemic warnings and flaunt vaccine necessity. These repetitive tactics are an integral key to thought control and keeping the people in a state of obedience.

One of the first approaches used by the globalists to brainwash the populace was to isolate everyone through lockdowns and separate them from family and friends. This tactic starts the deprogramming process. The “stay-at-home” rules kept the sequestered citizens dependent on the only ideas and information they had constant access to—the media. This allowed the infiltrators in the government to mold society’s thought processes regarding the pandemic storyline.

The next strategy of brainwash was to implement the “us” versus “them” mindset, which causes division and pits one group against another in order to achieve an outcome of loyalty. Both groups are told to pick a side, and if they do not pick the correct side, they are labeled as “spreaders of disease” and outcasts. Of course, this psychological bulldozing steers the majority toward choosing the popular team. This coercive persuasion was accomplished through the mask orders and is now psychologically progressing through pitting the vaccinated citizens against the non-vaccinated. The constant accusations, intimidations and punishments against the outcasts who refuse to vaccinate or wear masks are intended in order to induce fear, humiliation and depression. This group will be continually “stoned” until they change course.

When the obedient populace closed their businesses and caged themselves inside their homes, blindly accepting abnormal medical policies and depraved life routines as the “new normal,” their emotions, objective reasoning, and behaviors quickly metamorphosed into a place of surrender and denial. Current data showing 641 million Covid tests administered so far in the US prove how effective this psyop has been in creating paranoia. When the mRNA “machete” was introduced through all media outlets as the only means with which to stop the pandemic, the conditioned majority embraced the falsehoods that herd immunity would not stop the virus.

The unpredictable and abusive psychological attacks by our government and military on American citizens is similar to the brainwashing techniques used on prisoners of war, hostages, and cult members. Mask mandates were ordered because depriving people of oxygen is sadistic. Such abuse generates a “battle-fatigued” populace, similar to the type of weariness soldiers go through in combat. They know that once the people become worn down and overwhelmed with fear, they are easily manipulated. Hitler’s reign used similar indoctrination methods. The entire medical establishment succumbed to Germany’s brutal atrocities against humanity and participated in mass murder, forced sterilization, and infanticide. We should have learned from history… MORE.

Is The Small Business Sector Being Deliberately Targeted For Destruction?

By Brandon Smith/Alt-Market

The past 18 months have not been kind to small businesses. If you were unfortunate enough to live in a blue state during the onset of the covid lockdowns and you own a brick-and-mortar business then you have probably spent a large part of that 18 months closed, or struggling to stay open with a skeleton crew of employees. If you did manage to get a PPP loan from the government during shutdown you are now realizing that the 24-week grace period is running out and you will probably have to pay most if not all of that money back soon. Many who tried to get a PPP loan failed because the money was quickly chewed up by major corporations instead of being reserved for small businesses.

And this isn’t even the beginning of the list of troubles for small companies. I have to say, unless a large part of your business is handled online your chances of staying solvent are slim. This is not the fault of most business owners, though, it is a consequence of artificially created conditions and restrictions.

What do I mean by this? Well let’s look at some factors that many people might not be aware of…

Here’s why small businesses are suffering

For example, both state and federal governments have been offering some level of covid unemployment stimulus. In the case of federal programs this could amount to $300 extra a week on top of a person’s existing unemployment checks, even more if their state has a separate program. This has created a massive drought in the employee pool. No one wants to work when they can stay home, do nothing and make more money than they ever were before the pandemic. The reality is that there are jobs everywhere right now, but almost no one is applying.

This has led to major corporations and retailers offering unheard of sign-on bonuses in the range of $300 to $500. Some companies are offering to pay people just to put in an application. Many are offering incredible wage increases in the range of $15 an hour for unskilled labor.

But guess who can’t make offers like that? The majority of small businesses. Large corporate chains have enjoyed endless stimulus packages from the federal government and the central bank and as long as this continues they will always be able to outbid small businesses for employees. And though the federal covid checks are slowly winding down, there are still millions of people receiving regular unemployment for many months to come. In a bizarre twist, the jobless are now flush with cash and are in no hurry to rejoin the workforce. Small companies simply cannot compete and lure these workers from their covid vacations.

On top of this, we are now witnessing a dynamic which I have been warning would happen for years now – a stagflationary grind. That’s right, the debate that has been raging for a decade among alternative economists is finally over: It’s not a deflationary depression or a Weimar-style hyperinflationary collapse that is bringing America down, but a crippling stagflationary malaise. This means that U.S. GDP will continue to decline and certain sectors of the economy will continue to decline while prices on many products (primarily necessities) will continue to increase or remain very high.

This creates a conundrum for small business owners – Their overhead is rising and this is shrinking their profit margins. But, if they raise prices it makes it even harder to compete with large corporations that are able to keep prices lower for longer because they have government stimulus backing them up. So, not only are brick and mortar businesses unable to compete for employees, they also can’t compete in terms of prices as the cost of materials and goods spikes. It’s inevitable, they will have to close down. There were over 200,000 extra small business closures in the past year alone due to covid and the lockdowns.

With small businesses being hit with a perfect storm leading to mass closures, the end result will be that only major corporations will be left to offer services in the near future, and I’ve been wondering for the past several months now if this is not part of the plan…

Re-engineering the Great Depression

I am reminded of the situation that took place during the Great Depression involving small banks. In the 1920s there were thousands of small town and county banks across the country that were unaffiliated with major banks like J.P. Morgan or Chase National. It might sound strange to hear it but before the Depression many banks used to be small mom and pop businesses. By the end of the 1930s over 9000 small banks had failed, and the primary beneficiaries were the major corporate banks that absorbed all the assets into their portfolios for pennies on the dollar.

In other words, the banking industry and the massive power it holds today was consolidated in the wake of the economic collapse of the 1930s, and nothing was ever the same again. This beneficial crisis was helped along by the Federal Reserve, which had artificially lowered rates through the 1920s, only to rip rates higher in the late 1920s and the early 1930s. In an address to economist Milton Friedman on his birthday, former Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke admitted that the Fed was essentially responsible for the disaster of the Great Depression, stating:

“In short, according to Friedman and Schwartz, because of institutional changes and misguided doctrines, the banking panics of the Great Contraction were much more severe and widespread than would have normally occurred during a downturn.

Let me end my talk by abusing slightly my status as an official representative of the Federal Reserve. I would like to say to Milton and Anna: Regarding the Great Depression. You’re right, we did it. We’re very sorry. But thanks to you, we won’t do it again.”

It’s interesting to me that the collapse that the Federal Reserve “accidentally” caused just happened to be the same collapse that allowed their good friends in corporate banking to centralize financial power for decades to come.

Today, we may be seeing a similar scenario unfolding. Look at it this way – The lockdowns were completely unnecessary. They didn’t stop infection rates and thus they didn’t save any lives anyway. In fact, the states with the harshest lockdowns and strictest mask mandates also had the worst infection spikes.

The covid unemployment programs are mostly unnecessary and only justified by the pointless lockdowns. And the stagflationary conditions have been mainly inflamed by the trillions in stimulus that the federal government and the Federal Reserve printed from thin air to pay for the unnecessary covid response programs and unemployment. The covid checks and loans have conjured a workforce calamity, but they have also fueled a retail buying spree which is mostly enriching manufacturing hubs like China, triggering exploding shipping demand and shipping costs, straining the supply chain, jamming up cargo ports and raising overall prices by leaps and bounds.

Every single element of this crisis has been engineered. And I would suggest the possibility that, like in the Great Depression, major corporations are once again in a convenient position to devour the small business sector and become the only game in town for all retail and services.
