When Joe Biden met with the families of the fallen U.S. service members who were killed in Afghanistan due to his incompetence, all he could talk about was his dead son Beau, implying he was killed in combat too. This weekend, Biden delivered a speech to the families of fallen law enforcement officers and all he could talk about was his dead son Beau, implying he was a cop killed in the line of duty. For the record, Beau was a lawyer who died from brain cancer. He never saw combat and certainly was never killed in the line of any kind of duty.
On Saturday, Biden attempted to pay tribute to the police officers who were killed in 2019 and 2020 by giving another terrible speech at the 40th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service on the West Front of the United States Capitol.
Biden started out with this:
“Most importantly, to the families here today, the is all about you,” said Biden.
But then of course he made it all about himself. He announced that he didn’t personally know any of the officers who were killed but he did know a couple of cops when he was younger.
“I don’t know any of the personally who have fallen, any of the individuals…I feel I know them there without having ever having met them. You see, I grew up in a neighborhoods…where I grew up with the guys and women that we’re honoring today,” said Biden.
He listed two people who knew who became police officers, but didn’t mention if they had been killed in the line of duty or not. I’m guessing not, because otherwise he would have used that to get the focus on his “pain and suffering.”
Instead, he dug up Beau’s corpse to get the focus on his pain and suffering:
“Every family member dreads the possibility of receiving that phone call. Talking a stenny about this just as our son Beau was in Kosovo for about six months, in Iraq for a year. He was the chief law enforcement officer for the state of Delaware, the attorney general. I’d watch every morning as she left for school before I got on train. Jill standing there mouthing a prayer while she drank her cup of coffee over the sink, praying. Praying for Beau. We would do it every day. We did it every day,” said Biden.
It sure seems like Biden wants these families of fallen law enforcement officers to believe that his own son, the chief law enforcement officer, died in the line of duty. Also, that he and Jill dreaded ever day that he went off to work as the Delaware attorney general that he might not come home.
Beau might have been at risk of paper cuts and unfortunate stapler mishaps, but his life was never in danger like a cop patrolling the beat. The same goes for his service in the military, as he was an Army lawyer who never came close to a combat situation.
Next to blaming Trump, Biden’s dead son Beau is his biggest responsibility deflector. It won’t be long before we start hearing:
“Our son Beau died from surging inflation and a supply chain collapse, so we understand your pain.”
Or:
“Our son Beau died was killed by a secure Southern border so to honor him we have to stop all immigration enforcement.”
And definitely:
“Our son Beau died from COVID-19 so I’m implementing mask and vaccine mandates.”
If Joe Biden wants to relate to the families of fallen police officers, he should have told them about that time he had fallen and couldn’t get up.
