Biden Says He’s Going To Make Sure Americans Pay Their Fair Share For Gas

That was quick. Just last week Joe Biden was saying he’s going to get gas prices down and now he’s saying he going to make sure Americans pay their fair share of gas. It’s unclear what he meant by that, but when he says corporations and billionaires have to pay their fair share, he means they have to pay more.

Biden continued his pointless tour to sell the American people on the infrastructure bill that has already passed. On Wednesday, he was at some kind of bus depot in Kansas City. Though the cities may change, Biden’s insanity remains the same:

“Two weeks ago I announced the largest ever release of the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve to increase the supply of oil  to help bing down prices. I met with our friends around the world, other countries joined us,” said Biden.

He released the amount of oil that the U.S. uses in a day or so and I can assure everyone that none of our friends around the world released any more oil for the U.S. Strategic Reserve. In fact, they also didn’t increase oil production.

“And those savings are starting to reach drivers. Now today the average price you’re paying here in Kansas City is below 2 dollars a gallon, 3 dollars a ga, it’s down to $2.90 a gallon. 20 percent down from cents well from a month ago,” Biden said.

Huh?

“Nationally, prices are down 7 cents a gallon and continue to fall. We’re making progress. We’re going to keep at it to ensure the American people are paying their fair share for gas,” Biden said.

First of all, I doubt that gas is down seven cents a gallon but even if it is, it’s still up over a dollar. This is like when the White House bragged that our 4th of July barbecues would cost 16 cents less this year over last year. Does he think that pennies are a significant amount of money that is the difference between poverty and prosperity?

Also, what does he mean by making us pay our fair share for gas? When I started driving gas was 77 cents a gallon so to me that’s my fair share.

Again, when Biden starts using the words “fair share” he’s talking about making people pay more than they are currently paying. He’s saying that we, as Americans, are obligated to pay high gas prices. Like we owe it him and society to pay way too much to operate a vehicle.

And let’s get serious: Nothing Biden did had anything to do with gas coming down a few cents in the last week or so. We just got done with the busy travel season of Thanksgiving. Prices always drop after a holiday because there is less demand. The price of gasoline, like the price of everything is subject to the law of supply and demand. Low supply and high demand means high prices and high supply and low demand means low prices.

Biden did a number of things to make sure U.S. oil producers would have lower supplies. That, coupled with Biden’s inflation is why gas costs so damn much. And hey, guess what? This is all on purpose. Biden and the democrats want to get rid of gas-powered vehicles to force people to buy electric vehicles. What better way to achieve that than making the cost of operating a gas vehicle so expensive most people can’t afford it?

The only flaw in the plan is that people who can’t afford to fill their tanks also can’t afford a $60,000 electric car. Nobody has ever accused the democrats of having well thought out plans.
