Joe Biden has completely abandoned his promise to beat COVID-19 instead insisting what is really needed is more testing. The problem is, there’s a serious shortage of tests but, never fear, Biden just dropped $137 million on a factory to produce COVID-19 test strips. The only catch with this otherwise solid plan and wise use of taxpayer dollars is that the factory won’t actually be up and running for 3 years.
In a press release, the Department of Defense bragged about Biden’s latest blow to the pandemic:
On Dec. 29, 2021, the Department of Defense (DoD), on behalf of and in coordination with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, awarded a $136.7 million contract to MilliporeSigma to establish nitrocellulose membrane production capacity in the United States.
Nitrocellulose membrane is a critical material used in manufacturing SARS-CoV-2 rapid point-of-care tests. This industrial base expansion effort will allow MilliporeSigma to establish a nitrocellulose manufacturing capability in its Sheboygan, Wisconsin facility to support more than 83.3 million tests per month for COVID-19 testing and future needs.

The Biden administration plans to announce on Wednesday a $137 million contract for Millipore Sigma, a unit of Germany’s Merck KGaA (MRCG.DE), to boost production capacity of a highly constrained component of rapid coronavirus tests, a senior administration official told Reuters.
The money will allow the company over three years to build a new facility to produce nitrocellulose membranes, the paper that displays test results, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. That, in turn, will allow for 85 million more tests to be produced per month, the official said.
Wait, what was that thing about 3 years? So this factory will be completed some time in 2025 and even then, it probably won’t be up and running at that time as Reuters noted:
It was not immediately clear when the facility would ramp up to full production.
Joe Biden won’t even be in the White House when this factory gets around to making these crucial COVID-19 test strips, which is funny but not the big point here. Biden and the democrats are preparing for this pandemic to drag on for at least another 3 or 4 years.
All of that mask up, shut down, get vaccinated, and we’ll get back to normal soon stuff is a complete lie. Biden never had a plan to shut down the virus like he claimed and is trying to keep this thing going as long as possible. Well, that’s what his handlers have in mind because Joe doesn’t have a mind of his own. Still, this is not something one would do if we are close to beating COVID-19.
Something that wouldn’t be shocking is if this deal for a factory would also personally benefit members of the Biden clan. Maybe MilliporeSigma just named Hunter Biden to their board of directors or perhaps Frank Biden owns a piece of shit property in Sheboygan that he’s willing to sell to the government at ten times its actual value. In either case, the liberal news would never let on.
Whatever is really going on here, one thing is clear, this is not something that is going to beat the COVID-19 virus or get this country back to normal like Joe Biden promised he’d do. This is Brandon being Brandon, wandering aimless and wasting money on stupid shit.
