Back in 2020, Nancy Pelosi ordered the portraits of 4 former Speakers of the House removed because they had served the Confederacy during the Civil War. They were also democrats. In what must seem like an endless quest, democrats continue the work of scrubbing their shameful racist history. The latest is a cancelling of a democratic Senator who wanted to make America a whites-only homeland.

Maryland’s U.S. senators have introduced legislation to remove the name of a segregationist former lawmaker from a prominent Washington-area traffic circle.
Democratic Sens. Chris Van Hollen and Ben Cardin said in a statement Tuesday that they are seeking to take Francis G. Newlands’ name off of a fountain and plaque at Chevy Chase Circle, which is on the border of Washington’s Chevy Chase neighborhood and Chevy Chase, Maryland.
The former U.S. senator from Nevada, who died in 1917, aimed to keep working-class, Black and Jewish families out of the Chevy Chase community that he helped develop, according to the statement. Newlands also called for the repeal of the 15th Amendment, which granted African American men the right to vote, and advocated for anti-immigrant policies.
“We should not be memorializing him and the deeply harmful policies he stood for — the legacies of which are still impacting marginalized communities to this day,” said Van Hollen.
This AP story doesn’t mention that Francis G. Newlands was a democrat. It also seriously downplays what a racist he was. Here’s some Wikipedia on this proud democrat’s legacy:
Newlands was an outspoken white supremacist who advocated for those beliefs as a senator. In a 1909 journal article titled “A Western View of the Race Question” published in the Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, Newlands wrote that Black people were “a race of children.”
He went on to argue that black people posed a threat to the country, “It (the country) should start immediately upon the serious consideration of a national policy regarding the people of the black race now within our boundaries, which, with a proper regard for humanity, will minimize the danger which they constitute to our institutions and our civilizations.”
He was also a white nationalist who sought to secure the United States as a homeland for whites. In 1905, he advocated for the paid resettlement of African Americans to the Caribbean. In an article written in the New York Times on June 17, 1912, Newlands wrote, “I believe this should be a white man’s country and that we should frankly express our determination that it shall be.”
During the 1912 Democratic National Convention, he proposed for the Democratic Convention platform a “White Plank” that would advocate for repeal the 15th Amendment to the United States Constitution and restrict of immigration to whites.
You can scour the history of the Republican Party and you won’t find anyone remotely like this, but every single member of the democratic party, from the slave-owning, Indian-killing, KKK members to Joe “you ain’t black” Biden, has been a racist.
Everything racist that liberals cry about in American history was caused by democrats, but for some reason democrats portray Republicans as the racist party. I figure this is because democrats are still pissed that Republicans took their slaves away so they’re doing whatever than can to smear them.
If democrats are serious about cancelling the racist history of this country, eventually they’ll have kill off themselves because that’s where all of the racism exists.
