When Donald Trump was President, any disrespect toward the media was a threat to democracy but now that Joe Biden is in the White House, it’s no big deal. Once again Biden has snapped at a journalist for asking a reasonable question. This time it was against NBC’s Lester Holt, who Biden called a “wise guy” for asking about inflation.
The President of the United States traditionally does an interview to be aired after the Super Bowl and it’s usually of the softball variety. Joe Biden sucks so bad that he turned this cakewalk into a disaster as he completely lost his shit during an interview with Lester Holt:
Holt asked Biden about a U.S. Army report that slammed the Biden administration’s catastrophic troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. The basic gist of the report is that Biden failed to understand what was going on and reacted too late.
“Does any of that ring true to you?” Holt asked.
“No. (long pause) No,” replied Biden.
Holt tried to get Biden to explain why the Army report was wrong but things went wrong for Biden instead.
“There’s no way we were ever going to unite Ukraine, I mean excuse me uh uh uh Iraq,” stammered Biden. “Uh Afghanistan.”
Wow. He has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about.
“Just want to clarify, are you rejecting the conclusions or the accounts that are in the Army report?” Holt asked.
“Yes I am,” stated Biden.
“They’re not true?” Holt followed up.
“I’m rejecting them,” said Biden.
At this point, Biden was clearly irritated by Holt, which lead to another bad exchange:
“I think it was back in July, you said inflation was going to be temporary. I think a lot of Americans are wondering what your definition of temporary is,” said Holt.
“Well, you’re being a wise guy with me a bit. I understand that’s your job,” shot Biden.
At least Biden didn’t challenge Holt to a pushup contest, but still, this would have been an assault on the free press if Trump had done it.
Biden never answered the question but blamed inflation on the lack of computer chips for new vehicles. Apparently the price of many grocery items has tripled because Ford can’t find enough chips to make F-150s. Joe didn’t explain how this makes any sense and Holt didn’t press him on the issue.
Holt did ask when the historically bad inflation was going to end and Biden’s answer was almost as bad.
“According to Nobel Laureates, 14 of them that contacted me, and a number of corporate leaders, it’s thawed to be able to taper off as we go through this year,” Biden said.
Biden has no plan to stop inflation, he waits for Nobel Laureates to contact him about it? Also, prices aren’t going back down any time soon but the alarming rise of inflation may taper off sometime this year? Great answer, Joe.
In what should have been a two-foot putt interview, Joe Biden demonstrated that his mind is gone and that he’s kind of a dick. Imagine how badly things would have gone if it wasn’t a friendly liberal media hack asking pre-approved questions in which Biden released the answers.
