Ukraine has suddenly embraced their own version of our second amendment rights, allowing civilians the right to bear arms and defend themselves amidst this Russian invasion.
This from therightscoop.com.
Here’s more from NDTV:
Ukraine’s parliament on Wednesday voted to approve in the first reading a draft law which gives permission to Ukrainians to carry firearms and act in self-defense.
“The adoption of this law is fully in the interests of the state and society,” the authors of the draft law said in a note, adding that the law was needed due to “existing threats and dangers for the citizens of Ukraine”.
Ukrainian parliament votes to allow civilians right to carry firearms amid fears of Russian invasion

Many believe this is a good move by the parliament, although disappointing that it took a Russian invasion to bring them to this point.
Price and accessibility of guns in Ukraine may preclude people that don’t have guns from acquiring them, particularly if there is a “run on guns.”
And looking beyond this crisis, provided life returns to normal, will Ukraine’s parliament then revoke this law? A valid question, because what the parliament grants the parliament can take away.
Unlike here in America, where our Constitution recognizes that the right to bear arms is a God-given right that can’t be taken away by the government.
So far anyway not even a democrat-communist government.
God speed to the people of Ukraine and God speed to Conservatism in America.
