NATO wanted to outfit Ukraine with fighter jets to help repel the invading Russian forces but the U.S. put the nix on that. Then, the Biden administration said NATO could transfer the jets only to decide again that they can’t. If all seems bleak, have no fear because according to Nancy Pelosi, we’ll be sending lesbian tennis player Billie Jean King to help the Ukrainians.
Initially, Poland wanted to send MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine in defense of the Russian invasion but Biden wouldn’t allow it. Over the weekend Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin changed his mind and said that Poland could transfer the jets to the Ukrainian Air Force:
.@SecBlinken: The U.S. has given the “green light” to NATO countries if they choose to provide fighter jets to Ukraine, one day after President Zelensky made a plea to members of Congress to provide them during a Saturday Zoom call. https://t.co/liDkdNCAFI pic.twitter.com/3vHqk6YzQe

But as Fox News reports, old man Biden has had another change of heart on this:
The Pentagon announced that it will not support a proposal from NATO-ally Poland to send MiG-29 planes to the Ukrainian military, referring to the move as “high-risk” for escalating tensions with Russia.
Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin spoke to Poland Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak on Wednesday about “Russia’s unprovoked aggression in Ukraine,” offering appreciation for the country’s acceptance of Ukrainians who are fleeing turmoil.
During the conversation with his Polish counterpart, Austin, according to Kirby, made it clear that the U.S. does not support Poland’s proposal to deliver MiG-29s to the Ukrainian military.
Kirby said that Austin believes, “that the gain from transferring those MiG 29s is low” and, “that the transfer of MiG-29s may be mistaken as escalatory and could result in significant Russian reaction that might increase the prospects of a military escalation with NATO.”
If it seems like we’re hanging Ukraine out to dry (die) Nancy Pelosi provided a ray of hope for the besieged nation:

“In fact, when I spoke to President Zelenskyy I said ‘Billie Jean King sends you her regards and wants to know how she can help in any event,'” said Pelosi.
For those of you who don’t know, Billie Jean King is a 79-year-old former tennis star. She actually got her last name because she once married Larry King, but sometime in the early 1980s came out as gay.
So the question is, what exactly can a nearly 80-year-old lesbian do to help Ukraine in their fight against Russia?
If she was younger she could maybe lob some grenades at Russian troops with her tennis racket but she’s in “Joe Biden” shape at this point.
Perhaps they could install her at the gates of Kyiv as a scarecrow to repel Russian forces but Russians are so accustomed to ugly old broads that they’d be unfazed.
All of this sums up Joe Biden’s foreign policy acumen nicely: Sorry, no MiGs but here, have an old lesbian.
