Joe Biden may be a braindead old fool but his crappy poll numbers are way better than those of Kamala Harris. The White House tried rebooting Harris’ persona but that didn’t work, so now she’s just stealing Joe’s dementia in hopes of becoming more likable. When asked a question, she gave an answer so completely unrelated it was like watching her become Joe Biden in real time.
Biden sent Harris to Europe so she can fix the Russian invasion of Ukraine. So far, her efforts haven’t paid off. Yesterday in Poland, she laughed hysterically at the plight of the Ukrainian refugees. Today she was in Romania to meet with president Klaus Iohannis and things went about as expected:
“If I could ask you, madam vice president, president Biden has said that Americans will feel some pain for the sake of defending freedom and liberty but there does seem to be no endgame in sight. How long should Americans expect, how long should we be bracing for just sort of historic inflation and some unprecedented gas prices,” asked a reporter.
Though the question was directed at “madam vice president” and was about how long Americans will suffer through inflation, Harris looked at president Iohannis as if to say, “you wanna take this one?”
Harris flipped through some papers on her podium and found what she thought was a kick-ass answer. She proceeded to read this:
“In terms of the discussions that President Iohannis and I had, they ranged in subject including the issue of the Black Sea and I’ll let him explain in more detail as he would like. Uh, but, we are, again, fully aware and apprised because we are in constant communication with the president with his administration here, about the concerns that they have about the entire region and frankly about the vulnerability. All you have to do is look at the map,” said Harris.
So in answer to how long inflation will last in America, Harris says, “look at a map of the Black Sea.” That’s actually worse than any Joe Biden answer, though she did manage to pronounce most of the words correctly.
The thing is, before this question was asked, Harris looked at he papers on her podium to find the reporter she was supposed to call on. Clearly all of the questions and answers were scripted but she f*cked up and read the wrong answer. Chances are, she wasn’t even listening to the question because she knew she had the answer right in front of her.
Harris’ answer actually went on for several more minutes and she never came close to address the question asked of her. At one point she did say, “It is painful to watch. It is painful to watch,” which is true but definitely not the answer the reporter was looking for.
She rambled on about the horrors of the situation in Ukraine before finally finishing with this:
“Gotta stand with your friends and as everyone knows, even in your personal life. Being loyal to those friendships, based on common principals and values, sometimes it’s difficult. Often it ain’t easy. But that’s what the friendship is about based on shared values so that’s what we’re doing,” Harris said.
Once again, Harris has nothing substantive to add, so she throws out a word salad and hopes people will eat it.
I will give Harris some credit in that she managed to get through the entire press conference without cackling once. That’s what’s considered a win for Kamala Harris: she managed not to laugh inappropriately during a serious thing. Rock on, Kamaltoe!
