Iran fired missiles near the U.S. Consulate in Northern Iraq in what was certainly a failed attempt to destroy it. Meanwhile, illegitimate president Joe Biden is trying desperately to find a way to pay Iran billions of dollars to resume developing nuclear weapons. I don’t know what side Biden is on, but clearly it’s not on America’s side.
The NY Post reports:
Iran on Sunday claimed responsibility for firing ballistic missiles near the US consulate in Erbil, Iraq, saying the barrage was in retaliation for an Israeli strike that killed two members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Syria, according to a report.
No casualties were reported in the attack, and the building, which is unoccupied, was not damaged, the State Department said.
The Revolutionary Guard said it launched an attack against an Israeli “strategic center of conspiracy” in Erbil, and a later statement acknowledged targeting Israel and cited a recent attack on two members of the militant group…
“Any repetition of attacks by Israel will be met with a harsh, decisive and destructive response,” read the statement.
If Iran is retaliating against Israel, why are the blowing up a building across the street from the U.S. consulate in Iraq? Also, how shitty are their missiles if the building wasn’t destroyed? Take a look at the video:
And here’s a picture of the not-destroyed building:
The shiftiness of Iran’s missiles notwithstanding, they did send a barrage real close to the U.S. consulate and that’s not just an act of aggression but an act of war.
Joe Biden however is taking Iran’s word for it that they weren’t targeting our consulate or even trying to send us a message.
“We do not believe the consulate was the target of this attack,” said Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman.
And the reason for this is because Biden really wants to resurrect Obama’s terrible nuclear deal with Iran as Fox News reports:
The Biden administration’s hell-bent pursuit of a new nuclear deal with Iran grows harder to understand with each provocation from Tehran. The latest came Sunday in a missile attack near a U.S. consulate under construction in northern Iraq.
Notably, however, the missiles landed in Kurdish territory in northern Iraq. The Kurds are America’s best allies in that country. No one was killed but at least two individuals were injured. It’s likely the IRGC wants to send a message about the vulnerability of U.S. interests and allies in the region as the two sides close in on a renewed nuclear deal.
Keep in mind that Biden is letting Vladimir Putin negotiate this deal with the Iranians.
Another thing to keep in mind is how spectacularly wrong Joe Biden is on everything. Iran just tried to hit our consulate with missiles and I found this funny headline from last October:
Biden lifts sanctions on two Iranian missile producers
When you lift sanctions on Iran, bad things happen. What are the chances giving them billions to develop nuclear weapons will have a happy ending?
If Trump, or anyone with a backbone and love of this country, was in office, we would have met Iran’s aggression with a swift and devastating reply. Joe Biden is sitting in his basement in Delaware with his thumb up his ass, counting on the liberal media to portray his weakness as strength.
