It’s unclear why democrats want Iran to have nukes so bad and even more puzzling why they can’t be tough with Russia. The Biden administration is set to drop sanctions on Russia so they can build a nuclear plant in Iran. Moscow gets cash and Iran goes nuclear. It’s a win-win for everybody except America and most of the rest of the world.
In an effort to pad his otherwise sad legacy, Barack Obama pushed through a nuclear deal with Iran in the final months of his presidency. That deal sent plane-loads of cash to the hostile Islamic republic in exchange for nothing. It didn’t stop Iran from enriching uranium for it’s nuclear weapons program nor did it impose penalties for them doing so.
This shitty treaty was never ratified by Congress, as required by the Constitution, and on day one of his presidency, Donald Trump killed it. Now that Joe Biden, Obama’s #2, has stolen the White House, he has resurrected the Iran nuclear deal and has Russia acting as the negotiator on it.
Iran keeps shooting missiles at U.S. assets and Russia has invaded the sovereign nation of Ukraine. That is to say, both of these f*cked up countries are enemies of the United States even without formal declarations of war.
And yet, as The Washington Free Beacon reports, Biden is giving hand jobs to both enemies at the same time:
Russia’s top state-controlled energy company is set to cash in on a $10 billion contract to build out one of Iran’s most contested nuclear sites as part of concessions granted in the soon-to-be-announced nuclear agreement that will guarantee sanctions on both countries are lifted.
Russian and Iranian documents translated for the Washington Free Beacon show that Rosatom, Russia’s leading energy company, has a $10 billion contract with Iran’s atomic energy organization to expand Tehran’s Bushehr nuclear plant. Russia and the Biden administration confirmed on Tuesday that the new nuclear agreement includes carveouts that will waive sanctions on both countries so that Russia can make good on this contract.
The whole point of the sanctions on Russia is to cripple their economy by cutting them off from money, but that ain’t how Biden rolls, so there’s this as well:
As of last year, Iran owed Russia $500 million for past work on the country’s nuclear program. Russia could not access this money due to Trump administration sanctions that blocked Tehran from accessing funds held in Japanese and South Korean banks. These sanctions are set to be lifted as part of the upcoming nuclear deal.
State Department spokesman Ned Price explained that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Obama’s original Iran nuclear deal, is more important than stopping the evil empires of Russia and Iran:
“We, of course, would not sanction Russian participation in nuclear projects that are part of resuming full implementation of the JCPOA,” said Price.
That statement comes across like he thinks it’s stupid for anyone to expect Biden to crack down on these asshole nations.
Meanwhile, on the home front, we can’t have cheap clean nuclear power or energy independence and are paying $5 a gallon ($6 for me in California) for gas.
All of Joe Biden’s polices rewards our enemies and hurts the U.S so it’s safe to say he views the American people as the true enemy.
