The WaPo Says The AR-15 Was Invented By The Nazis

Liberals have done their best to demonize the AR-15 by mischaracterizing it as an “assault rifle” and lying that the semi-automatic gun is a “weapon of war.” Those are pretty good attempts at making the AR-15 sound scary but if you really want to terrify people, make up a BS story that it was invented by the Nazis, like The Washington Post did.

Here’s The Washington Post jumping the shark on the Texas School shooting:

It’s not enough that the Texas school shooter killed 19 4th graders, he used a Nazi weapon to do it!

“The AR-15 – its initials come not from “assault rifle” but from its original manufacturer Armalite – is a descendent of machine guns used by Nazi infantrymen against Soviet forces in WWII.

First of all, AR-15s are semi-auto so they are not machine guns and also, WTF? The Nazis invented the AR-15?

Doesn’t The WaPo have a fact-checking department? The AR-15 was invented by Eugene Stoner, a WWII U.S. Marine, in the 1950s. Also, both semi-auto and full-auto firearms were around way before the Nazis developed any. Just for fun, look up when the Gatling Gun or the Maxim was invented.

This is like the WaPo saying that the Texas school shooter wore shoes, the same way many members of the Nazi party did so he is the same thing as Hitler. Actually, what they are trying to say is that anyone who owns an AR-15 is a Nazi.

Okay, fine. If those are the rules, prepared to have your minds blown:

Adolf Hitler developed the Autobahn, a series of highways in Germany that would allow for the swift deployment of troops and military equipment. In 1956 the United States copied the Autobahn in establishing the Interstate Highway system. Any employee of the Washington Post who uses I-95 to get to work is using a system invented by the Nazis and is worse than Hitler.

In 1934, Hitler order the development of the “People’s Car” AKA Volkswagen. All hippies in VW Bugs and buses as well as any WaPo employee who drives a Jetta is cruising around in a Nazi-mobile and is worse than Hitler.

Nazi scientist Wernher von Braun invented rockets and rockets are used to put satellites into orbit. Any employee of The WaPo who uses the Internet, watches TV, or uses cell phones is utilizing technology invented by the Nazis and is worse than Hitler.

In 1490, Johannes Gutenberg invented the moveable type printing press, which revolutionized the printing industry and gave rise to newspapers. Gutenberg was from Germany, a country which would later come under Nazi rule. The Washington Post was founded in 1877 and used Gutenberg’s moveable type printing process. Do I need to connect the dots here? The WaPo started off using German (Nazi) technology and are clearly worse than Hitler.

And the thing is, the AR-15 was not invented or developed by the Nazis in any way. What the WaPo is attempting to do here is create moral outrage by lie-shaming AR-15 owners as Nazi sympathizers. They however don’t give a shit about where a lot of the technology and transportation systems they use come from, so it’s a fake outrage.
