It’s not a secret that democrats hate the Constitution because it’s literally the only thing stopping them from advancing their evil agenda, but they don’t usually say it out loud. That changed yesterday when Rep. David Cicilline called our Constitutional rights “bullshit” on the House floor. I would say this will make a really good TV spot for the upcoming midterms but democrats are so horrible that the ass-kicking is inevitable.
The House was debating the democrats’ latest gun control push which includes banning “assault weapons” and normal-capacity magazines. Cicilline listed off a number of shootings he claims would have been thwarted if the democrats’ disarmament bill had been passed and the last one was a bit curious:
“In Columbine 15 people were killed and 24 were injured. Those individuals would not have been able to buy the gun they bought with the bill we’re gonna pass,” said Cicilline.
The Columbine high school shooting happened on April 20, 1999. On September 1994 the Joe Biden-authored assault weapons bans became law and didn’t expire until September 2004. One of the weapons the Columbine shooters used was a Tech-9 that was at the time specifically banned by law. An assault weapons ban didn’t stop criminals from using a banned weapon to commit murder, which is also illegal. What are the chances a new assault weapons ban will suddenly make criminals obey the law?
This is also a middle finger to Joe Biden who falsely claims that school shootings stopped during the period his assault weapons ban was in effect.
Cicilline was clearly not concerned about the law, including the highest law in the land:
“People talk about the 2nd Amendment, we’ve heard it again today, ‘it’s a Constitutional amendment, you can’t touch it.’ That is not true,” Cicilline said.
Does he think that the 2nd Amendment isn’t a Constitutional amendment or that it’s simply something that can be ignored? As it turns out, he thinks both of those things.
Cicilline complained the Republican’s said the democrats’ gun control bill was unconstitutional:
“You know who didn’t have their constitutional right to life respected? The kids at Parkland, and Sandy Hook, and Uvalde and Buffalo, and the list goes on and on,” Cicilline said.
Then he added this:

“So spare me the bullshit about Constitutional rights,” Cicilline screamed.
There you have it. Constitutional rights are bullshit to the democrats. Again, none of us are shocked other than the fact that Cicilline yelled into the record.
Also, he’s wrong and not just about gun ownership not being a Constitutional right. You could probably find several amendments that allude to a person’s right to life but none of them specifically say people have a right to live. There is literally no “the right of the people to keep and bear life shall not be infringed” but there is one that says “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
I’m not saying people deserve to die but certainly murder victims don’t justify tearing up one of our Constitutional rights like the democrats want to do.
