In the aftermath of the Uvalde shooting, Congress has been scrambling to come up with something to address gun violence in America.
Democrats, again misidentifying the root problem and eager to take guns away from We the People, were quick to rush for gun control, their usual “solution” to shootings.
This from thepatriotjournal.com.
Sen. John Cornyn, the lead Republican negotiator on the bipartisan gun safety package, told a home-state crowd at the Texas GOP convention on Friday that he had:
Fought and kept [Occupant] Biden’s gun grabbing wish list off the table.
Yet Cornyn still received boos from the crowd as he talked about what the bill could include.
Thankfully, the boos from the attendees of the Texas GOP convention aided Cornyn in seeing the error of his ways in dealing with the devil—the democrat-communist cabal.
Among his lying platitudes, Cornyn had also said:
I will not, under any circumstance, support new restrictions for law-abiding gun owners.
That will always be my red line.
And despite what some of you may have heard, the framework that we are working on is consistent with that red line.
What a lying sack of sh*t Cornyn is—he had already accepted the thirty pieces of silver.
The group of senators was engaged in closed-door negotiations. And ten Republicans were willing to compromise on their pro-Second Amendment stance.
However, from Daily Mail:
Republican senator John Cornyn of Texas said he was ‘done’ as he walked out of Thursday’s closed-door session of gun law negotiations after nearly two hours, saying he was flying home.
‘This is the hardest part because at some point, you just got to make a decision. And when people don’t want to make a decision, you can’t accomplish the result. And that’s kind of where we are right now,’ Mr Cornyn said.
Republicans have long pushed for arming teachers as one method to discourage would-be shooters. Democrats, including Joe Biden, have strongly rejected this measure.
The left, instead, has demanded stricter limits on who can buy firearms. Some want an outright “assault weapons” ban.
It looked likely that something was going to pass in the Senate when 10 Republicans were willing to “compromise.” That’s usually code for, bend over backward for the left.
It is unlikely they will be able to find another Republican willing to meet their demands.
Thank you, Texas GOP. And John Cornyn, may you be primaried out soonest.
