WATCH: Biden’s HHS Secy Talks of Using Taxpayer Dollars to Transport Women Across State Lines for Abortions
Are democrat politicians stupid or does their propensity for corruption at some point overcome any remaining sense of right and wrong they may possess? Lawfulness and lawlessness are apparently indistinguishable for them?
Joe-Joe’s HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra was asked yesterday what he’s doing to protect women in response to the Hobbs decision which overturned Roe v. Wade.
Becerra told the NBC reporter, who was interviewing him for the Aspen Institute, that HHS is looking at transporting women across state lines to assist them to get abortions.
When Becerra was asked if he could do that legally, that’s when he suddenly became ‘shy’ and wouldn’t give a straight answer, saying only ‘talk to me later’. He then started to say what he really thought but realized it was being recorded and demurred.
That’s because Becerra knows he can’t do it legally. The Hyde Amendment prevents taxpayer money from funding abortions and that most certainly includes funding transportation across state lines for the purpose of obtaining an abortion.
We must expect, however, that democrat lawmakers will claim such behavior is legal and argue that this is merely ‘transportation’ costs and not the funding of the actual abortion.
We must also anticipate going to court to stop them, because wayward democrat-communists will certainly hope to win on that argument in court.
Again, as a final thought, I’m thinking of an analogy I wrote elsewhere: Democrat lawmakers as a whole may be aptly compared to wayward and troubled teens who are housed collectively in a residential treatment center and being afforded professional help to overcome their behavioral and/or mental health issues.
As tight as the security structure may be and as helpful as the treatment efforts may be intended, the collection of “misfits” is still capable of continuously committing hijinks.
They must be watched closely and there must be a constant readiness to redirect them onto sensible, lawful paths.
Where Conservatives recurringly go wrong is taking their eyes off these wayward democrat-communist politicians. Trust is not an issue. Democrat politicians are not to be trusted.
