Last year the liberal media and democrats alike where in hysterics over pictures they say showed mounted Border Patrol agents whipping Haitian illegal aliens. It turns out those “whips” were actually the reins for the horses. After an investigation the CBP has determined that the agents didn’t whip anyone but they will be punished anyway. This is yet another #FJB moment from the Brandon administration.
The Hill reports:
Four Border Patrol agents will face disciplinary action following an incident last year in Del Rio, Texas, in which agents on horseback corralled Haitian migrants seeking to cross into the U.S.
A 511-page report from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Office of Professional Responsibility found “failures at multiple levels of the agency, a lack of appropriate policies and training, and unprofessional and dangerous behavior by several individual agents,” according to a CBP statement.
Sounds like the CBP found some bad behavior from their agents and yet:
The report determined that agents did not strike “intentionally or otherwise, any migrant with their reins.”
Well, if the investigation was to determine if the Border Patrol agents whipped Haitian illegal alien and it found they had not, what’s with the punishment? The Hill says that one agent grabbed a Haitian by the shirt (gasp!) and another made disparaging remarks about Haiti.
“One BPA [Border Patrol agent] acted in an unprofessional manner by yelling comments related to a migrant’s national origin and sex, stating in part, ‘Hey! You use your women? This is why your country’s shit, you use your women for this,’” the report read.
Haiti is a shit country and it’s shitty to use women in an attempt to evade capture. What’s the problem here? Or here:
“The same BPA acted in an unsafe manner by pursuing the individual he had yelled at along the river’s edge forcing his horse to narrowly maneuver around a small child on a slanted concrete ramp,” the report continued.
Narrowly maneuvering a horse around a small child is a punishable offense?
If you’re keeping score at home, 1 BP agent grabbed a Haitian by the shirt and an another one said something true and then didn’t run over a kid. That’s 2 agents so why are 4 agents being punished?
And the punishment is on the extreme end. These brave protectors of our border, who did nothing wrong, are facing multiple-week suspensions and demotions. CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus said the agents will have a chance to answer the charges against them before he announces the final punishment but it seems like his mind is already made up:
“There is no justification for the actions of some of our personnel, including unprofessional and deeply offensive conduct,” Magnus said.
What’s going on here is that CBP found absolutely no evidence to support the liberal hysteria about whipping but there is so much rage from the democrats that they feel they have to punish the agents. At the time, Maxine Waters said the “whippings” were worse than slavery. Squad dude, Jamaal Bowman, cried the agents were “whipping black bodies.” Squad Jihadist, Rashida Tlaib, accused the agents of “Cracking a f*cking whip on Haitians.”
Most of all, Joe Biden said, “I promise you, those people will pay! There will be, an investigation underway now, and there will be consequences. There will be consequences.”
The one time Biden keeps his word and some innocent Border Patrol agents will get f*cked out of their paychecks.
