Back when Donald Trump was President, liberals told us that not only walls don’t work but they are also racist. Fast forward to the Joe Biden White House occupancy and suddenly walls work and are not the least bit racist. It’s being reported that Biden will resume building the wall on the U.S./Mexico border that was started by the prior administration.
Fox News reports:
…Thursday, the Biden administration approved a plan to complete a section of the border wall near Yuma, Arizona.
The plan includes filling four major gaps in the wall that continue to allow the Yuma area to be one of the busiest corridors for illegal immigration crossings.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas authorized the new plan, which was started by the Trump administration, in an effort to “deploy modern, effective border measures” and improve “safety and security along the Southwest Border,” the agency said.
Weird. This is the same collection of assholes who told us border walls were not effective security measures.
It gets even weirder when you consider this Joe Biden campaign promise:
Joe Biden says if elected, he wouldn’t tear down the parts of the barrier built along the southern border during the Trump administration — but that his administration wouldn’t construct “another foot of wall.”

“There will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration,” said Biden.
Unless Joe is only planning on building 11 inches of wall, he’s a lying dog-faced pony soldier.
Fox’s Peter Doocy tried to get to the bottom of this by asking White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about it:
“Why is the Biden administration building a border wall in Arizona?” Doocy asked.
“So uh, we’re not finishing the wall. We are cleaning up the mess the prior administration left behind in their failed attempt to build a wall,” replied Jean-Pierre.
Doccy didn’t ask if they were finishing the wall, he wanted to know why Biden is resuming construction on it.
“President Biden when he was a candidate said, ‘There will not be another foot of wall constructed in my administration.’ So what changed?” Doocy asked.
“We are not finishing the wall,” Jean-Pierre said.
I’m sensing a theme here.
“If walls work in that part of Arizona — is this the administration trying to get migrants to cross somewhere else, like in Texas? What is the plan?” Doocey asked.
“We are not finishing a wall. We are cleaning up the mess that the prior administration made. We are trying to save lives. This is what is this is what the prior administration left behind that we are now cleaning up,” said Jean-Pierre.
Somehow it kept going.
“By finishing the wall. Is this –” Doocy started to ask.
“We are not finishing it,” Jen-Pierre said.
“By filling in. Finishing –” Doocy tried again.
” We are not,” interrupted Jean-Pierre.
“Finishing by filling in. Is this, is this racist? Because in 2019, when the former guy was proposing a law, you said that it was his racist wall. So how is this any different?” Doocy asked.
“We are not finishing a wall. We are cleaning up the mess that the last administration made,” Jean-Pierre said.
Ok, we get it, they are not finishing the wall but they are certainly finishing parts of it and Jean-Pierre didn’t come close to addressing the fact that Biden said he wouldn’t build another foot or that he and everyone in his administration said the border wall was racist.
As shitty as Biden’s illegitimate presidency has been, it won’t be surprising if he adopts more of Trump’s plans and policies because, after all, they work.
