Days After Obiden’s ATF Redefines ‘Firearm’ Seventeen States Stand Up For 2nd Amendment, Join Lawsuit

The Obiden Regime has long made it their mission to go after Americans’ gun rights.

The Regime ordered Congress to pass sweeping gun control.

This from thepatriotjournal.com.

When that didn’t work, The Regime ordered the ATF to redefine terms to further regulate and limit Americans’ access to guns.

Sources inside the ATF claim the agency is considering changing a firearm’s definition to encompass the upper instead of the frame. The ATF reasons that anyone can finish an 80% frame or even 3D print one, but most of the general public do not possess the tools to complete a slide.

Hence, in the case of a firearm, ATF sees it not as the sum of its parts but by definition a firearm is actually a very specific part—namely the receiver or frame of said gun. Put another way, this would be like defining an automobile not by its body, wheels, and interior but by its engine.

So, seventeen states are suing.

From Ammoland:

Seventeen state attorneys general have signed on as plaintiffs to the Gun Owners of America’s case against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and its new rule surrounding the redefinition of a firearm.

Instead of clearing up confusion, the final rule muddied the water with contradictions and vagueness. The regulation also might violate the Administrative Procedures Act (APA).

Despite overwhelmingly negative comments about the new rule, the ATF is still pushing to redefine what a firearm is.

This was at the order of The Regime, which is trying to outlaw so-called “ghost guns.”

Seventeen states are suing the ATF over this move, which they claim violates the Administrative Procedures Act.

But as The Regime and the radical left have tried to shut down the Second Amendment, they’ve been met with strong pushback.

Since Joe-Joe Biden was installed in the White House, numerous states have passed constitutional carry laws, allowing all law-abiding citizens to conceal carry without first obtaining a permit.

The Supreme Court has also made major rulings in favor of citizens and the Second Amendment.

The goal of the current lawsuit is to ask the courts to put the new rule on hold until they can decide if it’s constitutional.

Democrats, however, will fight this as hard as they can. This could go all the way to the Supreme Court.

Below is a review of recent Gun Legislation signed by Biden:

On June 25, Biden signed into law the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act after the the House and the Senate approved the measure. The package represents the most significant federal legislation to address gun violence since the expired 10-year assault weapons ban of 1994.

Biden said at the White House as he signed the bill:

God willing, it’s going to save a lot of lives.

The package includes $750 million to help states implement and run crisis intervention programs, which can be used to manage red flag programs, as well as for other crisis intervention programs such as mental health, drug, and veteran courts.

Red flag laws, approved by the federal measure, are also known as Extreme Risk Protection Order laws. They allow courts to temporarily seize firearms from anyone believed to be a danger to themselves or others.

The legislation encourages states to include juvenile records in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, which would provide a more comprehensive background check for people between 18 and 21 who want to buy guns.

It also requires more individuals who sell guns as primary sources of income to register as Federally Licensed Firearm Dealers, which are required to administer background checks before they sell a gun to someone.

The law bars guns from anyone convicted of a domestic violence crime who has a “continuing serious relationship of a romantic or intimate nature.” The law, however, allows those convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence crimes to restore their gun rights after five years if they haven’t committed other crimes.
