Last Wednesday Joe Biden issued an executive order aimed at protecting access to abortion services in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

On Friday Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, released a scathing statement directed at Joe Biden on his executive order to continue support for abortion.
The U.S. Bishops’ Conference (USCCB) has censured President Joe Biden for this week’s executive order aimed at streamlining abortion access.
Wednesday’s “executive order facilitating abortion” was “the second such action from President Biden in response to the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey,” the USCCB website noted.
It remains “the policy of my Administration to support women’s access to reproductive healthcare services, including their ability to travel to seek abortion care in States where it is legal,” Biden wrote in his executive order. “I am directing my Administration to take further action to protect access to reproductive healthcare services and to address the crisis facing women’s health and public health more broadly.”
In response, Baltimore Archbishop William Lori, chairman of the Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, issued a statement Friday calling on the president and all elected officials “to increase support and care to mothers and babies, rather than facilitate the destruction of defenseless, voiceless human beings.”
Here is the statement from Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities directed at Joe Biden.
On Wednesday, [Joe Biden] signed an executive order facilitating abortion, [his] second such action in response to the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.
Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, issued the following statement in response:
Even preceding the Dobbs decision, my brother bishops and I have implored the nation to stand with moms in need, and work together to protect and support women and children.
Continued promotion of abortion takes lives and irreparably harms vulnerable pregnant mothers, their families, and society.
It is the wrong direction to take at a moment when we should be working to support women and to build up a culture of life.
I continue to call on the President and all our elected officials to increase support and care to mothers and babies, rather than facilitate the destruction of defenseless, voiceless human beings.
Blessed Virgin Mary, patroness of our nation, intercede for us as we advocate to protect human life and work toward solutions that will help every mother and child flourish.
Abortion is political and it has been a financial treasure trove for nearly five decades. Roe v. Wade was unconstitutional from its inception. It was a bad-medicine decision reached by a stacked progressive living-constitution court.
Contrary to the liberal talking points:
- Roe was not overturned; constitutional law has been brought back under the umbrella of original intent,
- A woman’s right to an abortion is not guaranteed in the constitution,
- Abortion is not health care unless the act is being performed for the physical well-being of the woman, and
- Abortion had wrongfully become a depended-upon form of birth control.
The Obiden Regime is acting outside their constitutional power and if given the opportunity, the current Supreme Court in a conservative, constitutional majority will decide against the recent Obiden Executive Order.
