NY Primary: More feel good news from New York on a Tuesday

Today is the day. The next great day in 2022 election history. This time the stakes are in New York. At stake, at least one incumbent Congressional Representatives will be out of a job, maybe both.

A new redistricting map is to blame, or put another way, so many people have moved out of New York, because of their communist policies, they lost a Congressional seat.

I hate to gloat, no, no I don’t. I think it is wonderful. I’m only sorry it hasn’t happened sooner.

So who are these incumbents you ask? None other than Fat Jerry. Yes, that Fat Jerry. rep Jerrold Nadler, C-N.Y. and rep Carolyn Maloney, C-N.Y. Honestly I don’t know much about rep. Maloney, other than she is a democrat, (that is enough for me) and is the 12th district’s current representative, she is also the chairwoman of the House Oversight Committee. Nadler representative of the current 10th district and  the chairman of House Judiciary Committee.

Both are running for new 12th district, and both are facing another two challengers, Suraj Patel and Ashmi Sheth. democrats will lose one if not both. Say it ain’t so. This is a good day, maybe even a great day and in Fat Jerry’s words “Losing one committee chairman would be unfortunate for New York,” he said. “Losing two committee chairmen would be catastrophic.”

This is almost as sweet as seeing the Lizard Cheney beaten, almost.

 Fox News Reports

Both Nadler and Maloney have been in Congress for 30 years. Both being elected in 1992. Nadler in a Special Election to replace rep Ted Weiss, C-N.Y. who had died in office. Nadler has lead the Judiciary Committee, since 2019, and had a hand in both of President Trump’s impeachment hearing, so seeing Fat Jerry get a beaten and lose his seat would be a rare pleasure.

The winner of today’s race will face Republican Mike Zumbluskas in November in less than 78 days.

There is more good news however, the 10th district still exists, but in a new map and there are another dozen or so candidates vying for the seat, including House impeachment attorney Daniel Sachs Goldman heir to the Levi Strauss & Co fortune. Along with rep Mondaire Jones, C-N.Y. the current 17th district rep, and former rep Elizabeth Holtzman C-N.Y.

Maybe one of the funniest, or perhaps most ironic candidates was none other Ex-New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, the man who inflicted the pain on the city and caused most of the mass exodus along with the destruction of the biggest city in New York. Just as in the 2020 Presidential race, he briefly campaigned, but withdrew from the race in July.

Yes, today may be another day to go down in New York history, and we may all have the honor, the privilege of watching Fat Jerry choke on his words and actions. I’m not going to count him out just yet, the polls do have him leading, but then again I seem to remember another famous New Yorker that was leading in the polls and expected to win easily. Of course this time the election only counts in New York. Still I can hope.

You know the words.
