Senator Johnson sent a letter to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz on Tuesday about the new whistleblower allegations.
Johnson told Horowitz:
Whistleblowers have recently contacted my office to share serious concerns about the FBI’s handling of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
The whistleblowers allegedly said:
[T]hat after the FBI obtained the laptop from a Delaware computer shop in late 2019, local FBI leadership told bureau employees that ‘you will not look at that Hunter Biden laptop’ and that the FBI is ‘not going to change the outcome of the election again.’

The FBI slow-walked its investigation into Hunter Biden’s laptop, including telling some bureau employees not to look at the hard drive belonging to…Joe Biden’s son, according to reported whistleblower disclosures made public by a top Senate Republican.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) sent a letter to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz on Tuesday about the new whistleblower claims, following disclosures made public last month about the bureau allegedly wrongly labeling Hunter Biden evidence as “disinformation” in 2020.
Johnson said the new whistleblower claims ‘allege that the FBI did not begin to examine the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop until after the 2020 presidential election—potentially a year after the FBI obtained the laptop in Dec. 2019.’
Johnson said that the new whistleblower allegations should spur the DOJ inspector general to action.
Johnson told Horowitz this week:
It is clear to me based on numerous credible whistleblower disclosures that the FBI cannot be trusted with the handling of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
I call on you [Michael Horowitz] to immediately investigate the FBI’s handling of Hunter Biden’s laptop and begin by obtaining the history of the investigative actions taken by the FBI on Hunter Biden’s laptop which should be available on the FBI’s case management system, Sentinel.
Director Wray on Thursday told Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) that he expects the FBI to “aggressively” pursue the Hunter Biden laptop from hell investigation.
Christopher Wray refused to say if the FBI actually has Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Recall, The Gateway Pundit obtained contents from Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2020 and exclusively reported on Hunter’s numerous crimes from trafficking cocaine to paying for prostitutes to committing gun-related crimes.
Further, TGP’s Joe Hoft interviewed John Paul Mac Isaac, the computer repairman who received Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2019.
