Former NBA superstar Dennis Rodman has called off his planned trip to Russia to negotiate the release of Brittney Griner, the tattooed, America-hating, black lesbian doper who was sentenced to nine years in prison for violating the country’s drug laws.
The 61-year-old basketball hall of famer made headlines when he told NBC News “I got permission to go to Russia to help that girl,” at a D.C. eatery last weekend, “I’m trying to go this week.”
Rodman’s dishing about his diplomatic mission raised eyebrows and earned him props from the “woke” left which much like anti-American wretch Colin Kaepernick, has turned the 31-year-old Griner, an 8-time WNBA all-star into a martyr figure, especially since her February arrest came around the time of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, yet another reason for cultural elitists to demonize Vladimir Putin.
Now Rodman is backing down following remarks from State Department spox Ned Price who during a press briefing earlier this week, said that if the human rebounding machine was going to travel to Moscow that he would not be doing so on behalf of the United States government.

“We believe that anything other than negotiating further through the established channel is likely to complicate and hinder those release efforts,” Price said.
On Monday, the five-time NBA champion told ABC News “that he doesn’t currently have plans to travel to Russia,” a change of heart that deflated the hopes of Griner’s fans and put her fate in the hands of the Biden regime which according to reports, is mulling the exchange of notorious Russian arms merchant Viktor Bout, aka the Merchant of Death, along with former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan who has languished in a Russian prison since 2018.
Griner who like other professional athletes took great pleasure in disrespecting the flag with her refusal to stand for the playing of the national anthem before games found out the hard way that America isn’t all that bad after the rude shock that being a black lesbian leftist doesn’t mean much as far as privilege in other countries.

Rodman who has referred to Putin as a “cool guy” and traveled to Pyongyang in 2013 to hang out with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un who is a big basketball fan won’t have a chance to be Griner’s knight in shining armor, giving her some more time in solitude to reflect on the perceived evils of America, a land that made it possible or her to be wealthy and famous.
During his playing career, Rodman, a defensive specialist who was nicknamed “worm” was a member of the legendary Detroit Pistons “Bad Boys” teams that bludgeoned their opponents into submission on the way to two titles, after a brief stint with the San Antonio Spurs, he joined the Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls and won three more rings at the tale end of the team’s dynasty.
