Today illegitimate president Joe Biden pardoned all federal offenders convicted of simple marijuana possession. He did this because, in his words, arresting black people for weed is racist. Okay, those were my words, but it’s his general sentiment. As a bonus, almost nobody is currently in federal prison for simple marijuana possession.

Today, I’m taking steps to end our failed approach. Allow me to lay them out.

First: I’m pardoning all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession. There are thousands of people who were previously convicted of simple possession who may be denied employment, housing, or educational opportunities as a result. My pardon will remove this burden.

Second: I’m calling on governors to pardon simple state marijuana possession offenses. Just as no one should be in a federal prison solely for possessing marijuana, no one should be in a local jail or state prison for that reason, either.

And the icing on the cake:

Of course this is largely an empty gesture in a desperate attempt to get a little support heading into the midterm slaughter. Really, there are only 149 people in federal prison for simple marijuana possession.
It’s also a bullshit ploy because if Biden was serious about this, he’d would have pushed Congress to decriminalize marijuana. There is a actually great support from Republicans to do this so Biden could have scored a bipartisan victory but didn’t. The reason is because he doesn’t actually think weed should be legal but does realize it’s a winner with black people. That’s why this is pandering pure and simple.
And to prove that Biden isn’t a big proponent of legal marijuana, back in March of 2021, Joe Biden purged the White House staff of anyone who ever used marijuana. No seriously, dozens of staffers were fired, even if they smoked pot in one of the many states where it is legal. Somehow, dope-smoking Kamala Harris survived this purge.
A year and a half ago, Biden thought marijuana was evil and now he’s convinced it’s racist to punish people for using it. That’s a pretty quick turnaround, even for a noted flip-flopper like Joe.
Another issue with this “racial justice reform” is that if someone is in federal prison for possessing marijuana, it’s because they are a huge piece of criminal shit. Think about it: why would federal agents bust anyone for simple marijuana possession? The reason is because they were being investigated or targeted for something way more serious.
How it works is, the U.S. attorney cuts a deal with the scumbag to plead guilty to drug possession because it has a really good mandatory sentencing associated with it. Then, they toss the gun possession, assault, and even rape charges. Just because someone was only convicted of simple possession doesn’t mean that person is a decent human being who just likes getting high.
I don’t smoke pot but I’m all for the federal decriminalization of it. This however ain’t what Joe Biden is doing. He’s just pandering to black people who will already mindlessly vote for democrats in the midterms. Well, except for the ones who are so high they forget to vote.
