An armed homeowner in Texas was awakened by a naked intruder in his home and shot him, according to reports.

The Newton County homeowner awoke around 5.30 am on Wednesday to find the completely nude burglar trying to steal his cat.
Fortunately, the homeowner had his firearm at hand and prevented the naked cat burglar from departing with his pet.
KFDM reported:
At about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, a homeowner in the 190 Block of CR 4161 contacted the Newton County Dispatch Center and stated that he woke up and found an unidentified naked man inside his house.
He described the intruder as a white male that appeared to be young, possibly in his early twenties.
The homeowner further advised that the unidentified man tried to steal his cat.
The homeowner then reportedly shot the man in the arm, causing him to immediately flee the scene.
KATV noted:
[T]he homeowner’s shot grazed [the naked intruder] in the right forearm.
After the suspect fled the home, a deputy spotted him running down the street naked.
The suspect was apprehended and taken to the hospital to have his wound treated.
Following treatment, the suspect was released into the custody of the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.
Noteworthy: The quick acting homeowner and his cat were unharmed, physically. However, the sound of the round being fired may have caused the cat to forfeit one of its nine lives.
