Kevin McCarthy is getting a lot of kudos for saying he’s going to yank Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee.
But keep in mind, what he is doing is not all that bold of a move.
In fact, if drunken Nasty Fran Nan were a leader for all of America—not just communists and globalists—she would have yanked Omar and others for various improprieties.
This from thelibertydaily.com.
Congresswoman Omar being on the Foreign Affairs Committee is like having China-compromised Eric Swalwell on the Intelligence Committee. Neither are qualified and both have serious personal issues that render them detrimental to Congress [and the American people], let alone powerful committees. It’s a no-brainer to remove them.
This is why it’s important NOT to give likely Speaker of the House McCarthy any extra credit.
Unfortunately, however, most everyone from questionable and sinking Fox News to the truly conservative news outlets are brandishing his announcement like a war wound that he’s removing Omar over antisemitism.
McCarthy is still an “unambiguous RINO” and should not be Speaker of the House
Is he better than Nancy Pelosi? Yes, but of course. However, that is “like saying the flu is better than hemorrhagic fever.”
Both can be deadly, and while the flu is less likely to kill you, you still shouldn’t want it.
Republicans should NOT want Kevin McCarthy to lead the House, which would make him the most powerful Republican in the nation for at least the next two years.
Or unless or until enough conservatives come to their senses and jettison him.
Here is the report from The Post Millennial, which thankfully does not fall all over McCarthy like other “right leaning” news outlets:
When the Republicans take the majority in the House next year, McCarthy will likely become the next speaker, pending a vote for the position on Jan. 3.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said Saturday that when he becomes the speaker of the House of Representatives in January he plans to remove “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar, (D-MN), from the House Foreign Affairs Committee due to her “antisemitic” comments.
Speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s 2022 leadership meeting in Las Vegas, McCarthy pledged to the audience:
We watch antisemitism grow, not just on our campuses, but we watched it grow in the halls of Congress. I promised you last year that as speaker she will no longer be on Foreign Affairs, and I’m keeping that promise.
“Unfortunately, McCarthy is still very likely to get the job.”
Congressman Andy Biggs would be a much better choice, as would Bob Goode.
Considering the razor-thin majority Republicans will have, it’s not going to be easy for McCarthy to rally enough support immediately. It will likely take some back-and-forth deal-making to get him the gavel.
This play with Omar is just a RINO trying to appeal to the populists. Don’t be fooled. He’s still a RINO.
