Democrats have told us that denying election results literally destroys democracy. Of course that’s one of those rules that doesn’t apply to them. In fact, the democrats just elected election denier Hakeem Jeffress to replace Nancy Pelosi as House Minority Leader.

House Democrats on Wednesday elected Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.) to head the party next year, marking a generational shift after 20 years under the reign of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) while making Jeffries the first Black figure to lead either party in Congress in the nation’s history.
The shift was no surprise. After Pelosi and her top deputies announced earlier in the month that they would step out of the top three leadership spots, the 52-year-old Jeffries was one of three next-generation leaders who quickly swept in to solidify their place as uncontested contenders for the top spots in the party brass.
In another thing that isn’t a surprise, democrats are hypocrites. After 2 years of claiming any Republican who questioned the results of the 2020 election was a threat to democracy, they voted this guy who questioned the results of the 2016 election as their leader:

Trump betrayed America.
He abused his power by soliciting foreign interference in the 2020 election.

Here’s the thing, all of the Russian collusion nonsense Jeffries cites as the reason why Trump’s presidency was illegitimate was thoroughly investigated and proven to be bullshit. There has been no such investigation into Joe Biden’s impossible win in 2020. At least not at the federal level.
I would say that election denying is cool again and we can call into question the results of the 2022 midterms, but as I pointed out earlier, democrats have a special set of rules for themselves. Elections they win are legit and anyone who doubts the results is killing democracy, while elections they lose were stolen.
