Obiden Regime Again Seeking to Ban Assault (ArmaLite) Weapons Before New Congress

Ahead of the inauguration of the new Congress next month, the Obiden Regime has renewed its ambitions to impose a new ban on assault weapons in America.

This from conservativecardinal.com.

Speaking at the vigil for victims of gun violence in Washington, Biden noted we banned assault weapons before and we can do it again.

The ceremony was conducted in remembrance of 20 people who died in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012.

Biden continued:

When lawmakers banned assault weapons last time in 1994, America saw a decline in mass shootings, which can be a reality once again.

Note: Available analysis does not definitively determine the assault weapons ban of 1994 caused a decrease in mass shootings, nor that its expiration in 2004 contributed to an increase in mass shootings in the years since.

Since the passage of the bipartisan gun bill in June, Biden has consistently been trying to push lawmakers to ban so-called assault weapons.

Just last month, Biden said he wants to ban assault weapons, adding he is:

“[C]ounting the votes of lawmakers to pass a gun bill in Congress.”

In November, Biden also insisted he would ban semi-automatic weapons from America. Yet, those comments prompted strong backlash, after which White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre corrected Biden’s remarks.

Jean-Pierre claimed:

Biden [wants] to ban assault weapons and not semi-automatic guns in the country.

On Wednesday, reporters asked Jean-Pierre about Biden’s promise to ban assault weapons.

Responding to the question, Jean-Pierre asserted she had nothing new to share with the reporters.

After his speech, Biden also hugged Jackie Hegarty, who is one of the survivors of Sandy Hook Elementary School’s mass shooting.

Hegarty insisted lawmakers want children to be brave in schools, while lawmakers are not brave enough to pass commonsense gun laws themselves.

Once the new Congress takes over, Republicans will control the House of Representatives, which will eventually stop the passage of any gun restriction bill.

Until now, [democrats communists] have largely failed to snatch the rights of gun ownership from Americans, primarily due to the resistance of two moderate senators within their own party.

Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have refused to remove the filibuster from the Senate rules, which is stopping communists from banning guns from the country.

Despite Biden’s continuous anti-gun campaign, even others from the Left have distanced themselves from him.

For instance, the [communist] governor of Colorado, Jared Polis, asserted banning assault weapons is not enough if the government is not willing to treat the mental health issues of gun owners.

But even this statement is troublesome. At face value it may very well suggest all or at least a preponderance of gun owners have mental health issues and the statement excludes the word ‘legal’ as in ‘legal gun owners.’

The last time lawmakers reached a consensus on the assault weapons ban was in 1994 when Congress decided to ban these weapons for one decade. That ban eventually ended in 2004, thus making assault weapons legal once again.

Banning assault weapons will have far-reaching consequences for gun ownership in America. This is due to the fact that [communists’] definition of ‘assault weapons’ includes some semi-automatic weapons like AR-15s, which can fire up to 30 rounds without loading.

The 1994 ban also outlawed simple shotguns, pistol grips, sound suppressors, and detachable magazines, eventually curbing Americans’ constitutional rights.

Final thoughts: This will be a never-ending battle to retain our Constitutional rights, fellow Patriots. We seem to be a mere handful of votes away from losing the legal right to defend ourselves.

God speed to Conservatism.
