There have been 2 mass shootings in California in 3 days, which makes it clear the state’s tough anti-gun laws do nothing to stop them. Gov. Gavin Newsom however thinks the problem is with legal gun ownership, calling the 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms a “suicide pact.”
Saturday night, 72-year-old Huu Can Tran opened fired at a dance studio in Monterey Park, killing 11 and wounding 9. On Monday, 67-year-old Chunli Zhao shot and killed 7 people at 2 adjacent nurseries in Half Moon Bay. While it would appear that the issue is with elderly Asian men, Gavin Newsom believes it’s the Constitution.
Newsom was in southern California pretending to care about the victims of the Monterey Park shooting, when he got news of the Half Moon bay shooting. He then vented his frustration with legal gun ownership to CBS:

“The 2nd Amendment is becoming a suicide pact, it seems like,” started Newsom.
No, it really doesn’t. A collective suicide pact would be an agreement for us to all kill ourselves. The 2nd Amendment guarantees our right to self-defense, while disarming people leaves them vulnerable. Gun control is the suicide pact, and it’s not something that intelligent people are willingly a part of.
“That’s the only question for me, how you gonna, political, I means, what about our kids, how are they going to school?” Newsom asked.
With a fractured nonsense statement like that, clearly Newsom is being groomed to replace Joe Biden on the democratic party ticket in 2024. Seriously, what the f*ck did he just say?
“What more can we do? And you know, again, we look at that all the time, a ma’am, we did another half-dozen gun safety bills last year,” said Newsom.
While this seems like Newsom is admitting that his bullshit gun control laws have been a failure, he’s actually going in a different direction. Stay tuned to find out what that is.
“We’ll continue to find whatever loopholes we can and continue to lead the national conversation on gun safety,” Newsom said.
There are no loopholes in the 2nd Amendment. Gun control laws are unconstitutional.
“And the data bears out it works, it saves lives,” said Newsom of gun control.
Uh, there were 2 mass shootings in 3 days in gun controlled California. Clearly gun control doesn’t work to save lives.
“And yet with all that evidence, no one on the other side seems to give a damn and can’t get anything done in Congress,” Newsom finished.
So it’s Republicans fault that there are mass shootings in California, which has been under democrat super-majority rule for a generation? How does that make sense?
Putting all of Newsom’s garbage together, what he’s really doing is complaining that the 2nd Amendment prevents him and the democrats from disarming the population. In simpler terms, he’s saying that guns are bad and the right to own them is worse.
It should be noted that in this street walking interview, that Governor Newsom is being follow by 3 plain clothes armed security guards, to ensure his safety. The real message he is trying to convey is: “Guns form me, none for thee.”
