If 2 democrat politicians were murdered in the same general area, within a week of each other, the liberal media would proclaim a domestic terrorist MAGA menace was behind it. 2 Republicans have been assassinated in New Jersey over the past 7 days and the liberal media is completely ignoring the story.
The NY Post reports that on February 1, Sayreville, NJ city councilwoman, Eunice Dwumfour, was gunned down near her home. She was driving her Nissan SUV, when a masked gunman opened fired, striking her and the vehicle multiple times. She then crashed near an apartment complex and was declared dead at the scene.
This story got some initial interest from the liberal media because Dwumfour is black, but when it turned out she was also a Republican, *POOF* it disappeared. There is no real description of the suspect, other than it was probably a man.
Things get crazier, because one week later on February 8, another Republican New Jersey city council member was shot to death. The NY Post again reports that 51-year-old Milford, NJ councilman, Russell Heller, was shot to death as he sat in his car in the parking lot of a local energy company, where he also worked.
Like Dwumfour, Heller was also a Republican. Unlike the other case however, police say they have identified a suspect. Authorities say that the gunman was 58-year-old Gary Curtis, who was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, 3 hours after the Heller shooting.
The two shootings happened exactly one week apart, about an hour’s drive away from each other. Both involved Republican municipal council members who were shot to death in their vehicles. For some reason, authorities do not believe there is any connection between the murders.
As they say, there are no coincidences, especially in politics. What are the chances that two Republican politicians would be assassinated in the same state, in the span of 7 days, and they aren’t connected? I don’t know the answer to that, but it’s got to be pretty damn astronomical.
Like I said at the beginning, if this happened with two democrats, there would be nationwide panic. The narrative would be that a radical right-wing killer, or militia, was systematically killing democrats because of white supremacy or some bullshit like that. Democrat council members across the country would get special police protection and probably county and state elected officials as well.
The liberal media would sound the alarm and call it a violent insurrection by racist white nationalists. Illegitimate president, Joe Biden, would deliver a special address, blaming the killings on the violent, divisive rhetoric by Ultra-MAGA Republicans. The Justice Department would open a special civil rights investigation, and Congressional democrats would demand a committee to get to the bottom of it.
But, since Dwumfour and Heller were Republicans, the liberal media sees no need to fear monger or even report on the shootings. There is no radical leftist conspiracy to assassinate Republicans, according to them, even though they have yet to investigate what is actually going on.
The old journalism saying, “if it bleeds, it leads,” has special conditions just like liberal rules. It’s not news when police kill an unarmed white man and it’s even less so when Republicans are targeted with violence.
