Don Lemon Gets Bitch-Slapped At The Oscars

Last year’s Academy Awards were only interesting in that Will Smith slapped Chris Rock for making fun of his bald wife. This year’s Oscars were slightly more entertaining and featured a slap of a different kind. Best actress winner Michelle Yeoh figuratively bitch-slapped CNN’s Don Lemon for his comments that women over 50 are passed their prime.

Last month, the dumbest guy on TV, Don Lemon, made this horrible assessment of Nikki Haley’s announcement to run for president:

“You know, politicians or something are not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry. A woman is considered to be in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s,” said Lemon.

Of course, Lemon never tried to claim that democrats like Kamala Harris or Hillary Clinton were past their primes, but that’s how lefty losers roll. Lemon was temporarily suspended, not fired, and forced to issue an apology, that left out apologizing to Nikki Haley.

On Sunday, at the Academy Awards, best actress winner, Michelle Yeoh, gave Lemon five across the eyes during her acceptance speech:

“This is proof that dreams, dream big, and dreams do come true. And ladies, don’t let anybody tell you you’re ever past your prime,” said Yeoh.

There’s no way that wasn’t a dig at Lemon’s sexist comments, but again, he’s the dumbest guy on TV and totally missed it. The NY Post reports that the CNN host glossed over getting trolled by Yeoh:

During Monday’s installment of CNN This Morning, Lemon and his co-hosts, Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, aired a segment about the Academy Awards and discussed Yeoh’s trailblazing win.

“I thought it was particularly reaffirming especially for Asian Americans, American actors or just Asian Americans in the country,” Lemon said, before adding, “I thought it was a really important and reaffirming moment for Asian Americans and I hope that you know they feel it in this country and that everyone does.”

CNN played a portion of Yeoh’s speech, but not the part about women never being “past their prime.”

The panel also never discussed her remarks.

The one time that Don Lemon is involved in some interesting news, and his sorry-ass network ignores it.

In related news, NPR had some issues covering Yeoh’s Oscar win as well:

She doesn’t identify as Asain, she is Asian. This is the by-product of the left’s attempt to erase women by claiming that dudes who identify as women are actually women. Here, NPR is trying to diminish Yeoh’s accomplishment because the left doesn’t consider Asians to be the right kinds of minorities.

BTW, the movie Yeoh won for, Everything Everywhere All At Once, is a great movie that you should check out. I get that an independent movie about a middle-aged Asian woman doesn’t seem like it would be all that watchable, but this movie is clever, funny, and has some awesome comedic kung-fu action. No, really. I was skeptical, but watched it recently and found it to be immensely entertaining and thought provoking.

Also, and this couldn’t more kick-ass, the guy who played Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Data in The Goonies, Ke Huy Quan, also won an Academy Award for this film. He however didn’t bitch-slap Don Lemon in his acceptance speech, but it’s still pretty cool.
