Rep. Comer: GOP Prosecutors Now Looking at Possible Biden Prosecutions

Once you open a door, don’t be surprised if it swings back and hits you right in the kisser.

That’s what the communists/globalists have done with this desperate play of going after President Trump. They’re throwing anything against the wall that they can in their political attempt to get him, impair his campaign, and impair the Republicans from taking back power in 2024.

However, those who throw the rules under the bus, expose themselves as well.

Now, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) is reporting that there are Republican prosecutors already thinking along similar lines. At least two local Republican prosecutors are looking into how they can charge Joe Biden and members of his family, now that the democrats communists/globalists have thrown down that gauntlet via Bragg.

Comer told Fox & Friends:

I had two calls yesterday, one from a county attorney in Kentucky and one from a county attorney in Tennessee. They were Republican, obviously, both states are heavily Republican. They want to know if there are ways they can go after the Bidens now. [….]

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said:

You can be sure that there are prosecutors across Florida and Texas right now who are looking for a state law hook into the Biden family. And if they’re not, they’re not doing their jobs.

Mike Davis, a former chief counsel for nominations on the Senate Judiciary Committee and president of the Article III Project, floated legal theories for possible prosecutions:

I think our Republican AGs and DAs should get creative.

You just need probable cause. A grand jury can indict a ham sandwich. We just saw that in New York. And the Bidens actually committed real crimes. These are real crimes that the Bidens committed. There is smoking-gun evidence that the Bidens were corruptly and illegally on Chinese and Ukrainian oligarchs’ payrolls.

Davis pointed to one of the Biden deals that had links to Louisiana and Texas.

An October 2017 email from first son Hunter Biden’s laptop identifies Joe Biden as a participant in a call about Chinese energy company CEFC’s attempt to purchase US natural gas—an effort that appears to have had corporate links to both Louisiana and Texas. A May 2017 email referred to the ‘big guy’ getting a 10% cut in the business partnership, and Joe Biden allegedly met with one of his son’s partners the same month.

Davis told The Post:

I understand the Bidens may have had some oil and gas deals that deal with Texas. I think maybe Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton should start looking at this long and hard … and Louisiana with [Republican state Attorney General Jeff] Landry.

Paxton and Landry, they need to look at this. And if you can find a conspiracy and any of the overt acts of a conspiracy are committed in any of those states, you can bring charges.

According to a Washington Post review of laptop records:

Hunter and James Biden ultimately received at least $4.8 million in 2017 and 2018 from CEFC—a since-defunct arm of Beijing’s foreign-influence ‘Belt and Road’ initiative.

Davis observed:

[S]tate prosecutors could also look into ‘long-arm’ corruption statutes and look into whether the Bidens failed to pay taxes in any of these states if they did work there.

There are a variety of potential actions that could be taken that wouldn’t stray over into the improper road that Bragg is treading down. Republicans could pursue cases that are properly within a state’s jurisdiction, without trying to improperly bootstrap a federal crime. And they can deal with the legitimate allegations that have been floating out there for a while that have not been addressed. So, unlike the democrats communists/globalists, Conservatives could pursue the crimes and not just the man.

There are at least three federal investigations into the Bidens now.

 – One is the Hunter Biden investigation that has been going on for years and I wonder, at this point, if they will ever come out with anything.

– Then there’s also the House Oversight investigation into the Biden dealings that just had a breakthrough with the Treasury Department where they were finally able to force them to turn over the Suspicious Activity Reports regarding the Bidens. Comer has already said that they have evidence of a CCP-related payout that ended up in the pockets of the Biden family.

– House Oversight is also looking into aspects of the Biden classified document scandal.  They just took testimony on Tuesday from Kathy Chung, who was Joe Biden’s assistant. Chung was asked about the movement of Joe Biden’s documents after he left the vice presidency and revealed more about how carelessly they were handled—that they were in three different locations afterward, and that at the Penn Biden Center, they were not kept in a locked closet as has been claimed in the past.

– Then there’s also Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into Biden’s classified document scandal.

There has been a lot of democrat communist/globalist wrongdoing hanging out there in the wind for a long time, all protected by the magical “D.” Leftists seem to think that things like the statute of limitations and being in the proper jurisdiction no longer apply. If Leftists are saying none of those things apply anymore, then any or all of those actions should get picked up and pursued by a Conservative prosecutor—the same road the Left has taken against President Trump.
