An Oxford college will not celebrate St. George’s Day this year on his April 23rd feast day. Magdalen College will celebrate the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr instead.
Eid al-Fitr is not even celebrated on April 23rd. It’s two days earlier.
An Oxford college has been accused of trying to “cancel” a dinner in honour of the Christian patron saint of England in favour of an Islamic holiday.
This year, Magdalen College, a 15th-century constituent college of the University of Oxford, will not hold a dinner on April 23rd to celebrate the feast day of St George, the Christian patron saint of England.
Instead, according to London’s Daily Telegraph newspaper, Magdalen will hold a formal dinner to mark the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr — the official end of the holy month of Ramadan—despite the festival day actually coming two days earlier on the 21st.
In an email sent out to students obtained by the broadsheet, the vice president of the college, Professor Nick Stargardt invited students and guests to ‘celebrate Eid with a festive dinner in the Hall,’ and said that ‘the meal will follow Muslim customs: the meat dish will be halal and no alcohol will be served.’
The religious festival Eid al-Fitr, or the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” is one of two major holidays celebrated by Muslims around the world. In the United States, Eid al-Fitr 2022 begins on the evening of Sunday, May 1 and ends on the evening of Monday, May 2.
Also known as the “Lesser Eid,” Eid al-Fitr commemorates the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. An occasion for special prayers, family visits, gift-giving and charity, it takes place over one to three days, beginning on the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month in the Islamic calendar.

Case in point, commentator Mark Steyn showed in a 2017 video how Western Europe was then already in the death throes of “demographic suicide” because couples were no longer having enough children. He then showed how a thriving Muslim population in Western Europe was well on its way to filling all the empty space.
Steyn explained how given the divergent birth rate between Muslims and post-Christian secularists, it will take only two generations for the current Muslim population (sitting at about 10-percent) to have as many grandchildren as post-Christian secularists (who currently make up the other 90 percent).
He said:
This is due to Muslims having on average 3.5 children per couple compared to post-Christian secularists who have only 1.3 children per couple.
He also said:
People think this is a slow process…It happens very fast. The catching up is well under way.
Steyn said that the takeover of Western Europe by Muslims is “not a prediction.” He noted that some elementary schools, such as in Antwerp, Belgium, already had a majority of Muslim students.
He continued:
Nobody is predicting anything. We’re talking about who are the kids in the grade school right now, which means they are going to be the guys entering the workforce in fifteen years time.
He added:
That’s not a prediction. We’re not looking at trends. We’re looking at the actual warm bodies sitting in the elementary classes now.
Steyn quoted statistics from the Vienna Institute of Demography which he said predict that by mid-century (2050) a majority of Austrians under the age of 15 will be Muslim.
He said:
This was a country that not so long ago was 90 percent Catholic.
Steyn reminded us that Austria was the setting for the film Sound of Music about a large family that fled the country in 1938 in the face of a Nazi takeover.
And he said:
[B]y 2038, Austrians will no longer be singing ‘how do you solve a problem like Maria,’ but ‘how do you solve a problem like Sharia.’
Steyn said that the demographic suicide of the West highlights the importance of U.S. President Trump’s July message in Warsaw, Poland about faith and family.
In his July 6, 2017, rousing speech, Trump issued a clear call for the defense of Christianity that underpins all of Western Civilization, along with all the culture and traditions that arise from that source.
Trump urged Europeans to put:
[F]aith and family, not government and bureaucracy, at the center of our lives.
In Steyn’s estimation, 2017 was already too late for most Western European countries to turn the boat around.

Nowadays it might be more accurate to rephrase that to “never more than one election away.”
If the communists/globalists should regain (steal again) the presidency, and possibly the Senate, in next year’s election, we can expect a marked increase in Islamic influence over our government and our society.

On September 27, 2012, in a nighttime raid, federal authorities arrested Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the producer of a short YouTube video that mocked Muhammad. Mr. Nakoula was found guilty of probation violation and was sentenced to one year in prison. Of course, his real crime was that he had slandered the Prophet of Islam.
During President Obama’s eight-year tenure, he developed close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood—an organization that has been labeled as the “mother of all terrorist groups”—and he actively facilitated the Muslim Brotherhood takeover of Egypt under Mohamed Morsi.
Meanwhile, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, worked closely with the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on plans to criminalize criticism of Islam. At around the same time, it was revealed that Mrs. Clinton’s top aide and close confidante, Huma Abedin, had family members who were deeply enmeshed in Muslim Brotherhood organizations. As it turned out, Ms. Abedin herself worked for several years as a managing editor for a Muslim Brotherhood journal.
No matter. When five members of Congress asked for an investigation of Ms. Abedin, they were treated like pariahs.
Final thoughts: Europe is rapidly falling to the legal Islamic invasion. May God help us that we are not too late to prevent America’s Islamization.
