Juneteenth Black on Black Holiday Violence Spirals Out of Control

This is not what the Black communities needed—another “holiday” to get together, get drugged up and drunked up, then start killing one another.

Somehow this must be the fault of White Supremacy—a third Trump Impeachment may be demanded. Where’s Nancy? She too, drunk again?

Shootings across the country over the holiday weekend so far have killed multiple people and sent at least 70 to hospitals.

Per multiple local reports including a DuPage County Sheriff’s Office official said:

Witness Markeshia Avery told ABC 7 Chicago:

It was supposed to be like a Juneteenth celebration; we just started hearing shooting, so we dropped down until they stopped. They just kept going. After that, we literally scattered away.

Per fire officials:

At least two people are in critical condition while others are suffering from ‘graze wounds.’

Witnesses and Tri-State Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Joe Ostrander said:

The shooting broke out around 12:30 a.m. when the Juneteenth celebration in a parking lot turned violent.

The motive for the shooting is still unclear.

ABC 7 Chicago also reported:

Police said in nearby Chicago, at least 27 people were shot, three fatally, across the city as of Saturday afternoon.

In the Midwest—downtown St. Louis MO—police said 10 juveniles were shot and one is dead after a shooting early Sunday morning.

That incident took place after 1:00 a.m. local time Sunday morning, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said.

Per the local CBS affiliate:

Witnesses said the shooting occurred inside of one of the buildings downtown.

At a Washington State campground on Saturday evening, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said:

At least two people are dead and three others were wounded in a shooting near a music festival. The suspect was also wounded and arrested.

According to Fox News, officials said:

The gunman randomly fired into the crowd before being taken into custody.

According to NBC News, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said:

Eight people between the ages of 16-24 were wounded by gunfire at a house party early Saturday. Officials said everyone is expected to recover.

Also in California, according to the local ABC affiliate:

The San Diego Police Department said one person died and another was injured when a shooting erupted at a Juneteenth concert in a park Saturday evening, As of Saturday evening, the suspect was still on the loose and police had not provided a description.

In Georgia, local outlet WSB-TV reported:

At least five people were injured in a shooting outside of a nightclub in DeKalb County early Sunday morning, police said.

It is unclear whether anyone was taken into custody and officials have not said what led to the incident.

Final thoughts: What a hell of a start to a holiday weekend—the official Juneteenth holiday is not until tomorrow, June 19th.

Some may think my title and first lines to this article are racist. I believe the title and the first sentence are factual—prove me wrong if you can, please.
