Recently, Def Con News’ Nathaniel Greene asked, “All Those Illegal Aliens Streaming across the Border—Where Are They Going?” Well Mr. Greene, it turns out they going to Illinois to become police officers. The sorry-ass democrat governor just signed a law that allows non-citizens to become cops, and that includes illegal aliens. What could possibly go wrong?
Since the George Floyd riots, police across the country have been defunded and disrespected, especially in Chicago. As such, cops are retiring early or getting a job someplace else, and the Chicago PD is having a hard time finding and keeping new recruits. The obvious solution is to stop siding with the criminals and support law enforcement, but that ain’t how democrats roll.
Instead, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker wants the criminals to become law enforcement, as The NY Post reports:
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, D., signed a bill into law that allows non-US citizens to become police officers in the state, angering critics who slammed the idea of foreigners arresting American citizens as “a fundamentally bad idea.”
Illinois House Bill 3751 will no longer require US citizenship as a qualification to become a police officer in the state.
The bill was signed by the Democrat governor on Friday and will go into effect on January 1, 2024, despite facing heavy opposition from GOP lawmakers and prominent police groups.
The bill “provides that an individual who is not a citizen but is legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law is authorized to apply for the position of police officer, subject to all requirements and limitations, other than citizenship, to which other applicants are subject,” HB3751 reads, adding that non-US citizens must be able to obtain, carry, purchase, or otherwise possess a firearm under federal law to apply for the job.
Immigrants who remain in the country under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Act, are also entitled to apply for a position to join law enforcement, the bill states.
Dreamers are illegal alines, BTW, but we’ll get to that in a second. First, let’s check out what Republicans think of this insane new law:
“At 5 p.m. yesterday, when no one was paying attention, Pritzker signed a bill to allow illegal immigrants to become police officers, giving non-citizens the power to arrest citizens in our state. No sane state would allow foreign nationals to arrest their citizens, this is madness,” said Republican Illinois Rep. Mary Miller.
In the state of Illinois, illegals can now become police officers. Yes, you heard that right. People who are breaking the law by their presence here can now arrest American citizens. You know the other blue states are watching and getting ready to implement this idea as soon as they can. We either address this border crisis or allow our country to descend further into a Leftist dystopia,” said Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert.
And here’s the Illinois governor’s attempt at gaslighting:
“I am tired of the right-wing twisting things. They put it on Facebook, they tell lies. There are people out there that think we’re just allowing anybody to become a police officer. That’s just not accurate,” Pritzker said.
Well, it says in the bill that Dreamers, who are illegal aliens, can become cops, so it’s accurate to say that the bill allows illegal aliens to become cops. But wait, there’s more because since Biden has opened up the border and illegals have been streaming in, he’s giving them temporary work visas as well as temporary legal status. That means the millions of third-world scumbags Biden has let in, also qualify to be a police officer in Illinois.
There is that other clause that says candidates, must be able to obtain, carry, purchase, or otherwise possess a firearm under federal law,” but I’m not convinced that Biden hasn’t extended that perk to illegals. Non-citizens who are here legally can purchase firearms, and since Biden has made the illegals at least temporarily legal, that means they should be able to purchase a gun and meet the Illinois state requirement to become cops.
The best part for illegal alien cops is that Illinois is a sanctuary state, so they won’t have to arrest themselves for being in the country illegally.
The next obvious step is to allow illegal aliens to vote in state and national elections, but only if they swear allegiance to the democratic party. I’ll be waiting to see how California tries to top this. Maybe they’ll confiscate homes from Americans and give them to the illegals.
