Israeli officials say that they executed an aerial strike on a mosque inside Gaza that was being used as a command center for terrorists who were preparing to carry out “a significant and imminent terror attack.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it launched the attack on the command center located under the Al-Ansar Mosque early Sunday local time in conjunction with Shin Bet, an Israeli intelligence agency.
The IDF said in a statement:
In a joint IDF and ISA activity, the IAF conducted an aerial strike on an underground terror compound in the Al-Ansar mosque in Jenin.
The mosque contained a terror cell of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror operatives who were organizing an imminent terror attack.
The statement also said:
[T]hese were the same terrorists who were responsible for several terror attacks over the last months.
Further:
Intel was recently received which indicated that the terrorists who were neutralized were organizing an imminent terror attack.
The mosque was used by the terrorists as a command center to plan the attacks and as a base for their execution.
The tunnels under the mosque were used to store vast quantities of various weapons, according to images released by the IDF.

Israel increased targeted air strikes in norther Gaza on Saturday to continue softening up terrorist strongholds before ground forces move in.
Israel also pounded Hezbollah terrorists on the Israel-Lebanon border after the Iranian-backed terrorists continued to launch small scale attacks on Israeli forces.
Final thoughts: The ease with which Hamas entered Israel through an “impenetrable” border is being questioned. Were the Hamas atrocities allowed to be performed to give Israel the rationale to do what the IDF is now doing? There is no good answer. And the killing of Israelis and Palestinians will likely continue.
