Sorry everybody, I know I haven’t been posting very much recently, but I can’t find anything remotely interesting to write about. Yeah, the Israel/Hamas thing is a big story, but I just don’t care. It doesn’t make me anti-semitic or Islamaphobic, it’s just not something I want to write about. Because of the conflict, there is almost nothing else in the news lately and it’s driving me crazy.
I’ve been doing this for a long time and can never remember a glut in the news like this. Thanks to Bidenomics, I’ve had to take on a bunch more writing gigs and so I have deadlines for other sites that need to be met. As such, I can’t spend all day pouring through the internet looking for something interesting for Def Con News. I wish it were different, but that’s my reality.
Every morning I get up, hoping there will be something that doesn’t involve Israel, Hamas, or shitty terrorist-loving leftists, but for the past three weeks that’s pretty much all there is. Joe Biden’s handlers have squirreled him away, so my number one source of WTF? is gone. All my other go-to subjects in the democrats party are fully immersed in pro-Palestinian propaganda, which again doesn’t interest me.
The main reason why I just don’t care about this is because it is monotonous. The Middle East has been in a constant state of conflict and conquest since the dawn of civilization and before recorded history. Shit is never going to be settled there as even the various factions fight among themselves. It’s really none of our concern and we definitely shouldn’t be sending our troops or our money there for any reason.
It’s actually insane to me that people have been fighting over the Middle East for thousands of years because it’s literally the worst place on Earth, besides Antarctica, for human habitation. It’s a desert wasteland and it always has been. Duking it out over an island paradise males sense, but 6,000 years of war for a rocky, sandy hellscape is nuts.
I’m not trying to take the side of Hamas with my indifference, but that’s kind of how things are now. You either pledge loyalty to Israel or get accused of being pro-terrorist. I think Israel has every right to f*ck Hamas up and believe in general that Islam is a scourge, but this is their fight, not ours.
I also feel like this is a major distraction, and the fact that there is hardly else anything in the news proves that. There’s a lot of stuff that should be covered like the Biden crime family, the illegal alien invasion, and the stealth recession, but it’s nothing but the Israel/Hamas conflict. Hell, even Ukraine can’t steal a headline right now.
Again, I apologize for being so slack lately and promise to write something, anything tomorrow, even if I have to make up some interesting bullshit.
