The ‘Two State’ Solution Is Insane

Some still belong to the “Two State” solution club. They seem to believe in the possibility of this option with a fervor that it is an obvious choice.

That answer to the current dilemma may have been correct for the Middle East in the 1980s and 90s, but post Hamas atrocities, post Hezbollah attacks, and continued Iranian meddling strongly indicate another solution should be sought.

This from hotair.com.

The proposal to create a Palestinian state in Gaza and the West Bank alongside Israel in exchange for those who call themselves Palestinians giving up violence and coexisting alongside Israel no longer seems viable to anyone except those adamantly pushing for a Palestinian state—common sense and Israel be damned.

Formal recognition of a Palestinian state is based on its people becoming “civilized human beings instead of biological reservoirs of hate.” But generations of these people in the formerly occupied territories—both are self-governing now, and this has been a disaster—having been trained to be hateful bigots whom even the other Arab countries disdain, brings great doubt the people will be able to meet the challenge of maintaining peace.

NOTE: None of the surrounding Arab countries is interested in taking in Palestinian refugees because continued trouble is expected from them.

And this very risk of continued trouble is likely the rationale behind The Obama/Biden Regime offering America as a sanctuary for some of the most murderous people in the world—continuing the promised Obama fundamental transformation of America.

Palestinians have been given many offers to formally establish a state, and for years, they have been de facto states—states in all but names.

The Palestinian Authority—run by corrupt kleptocrats—rules in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza. They can’t even get along with each other, no less the rest of the world.

The Palestinians reject all offers because they want it all—and the protesters on our campuses agree with them.

Unfortunately, dropping the two-state solution leaves no good options.

No Arab state wants anything to do with the Palestinians; they all want peace and trade with Israel, and even in the midst of this crisis, Saudi Arabia is preparing to drop its (now nominal) hostilities with the Jewish state and get down to business, which is modernization.

Iran—which is not an Arab country but Persian—is one of the last holdouts. Allied with Syria and Yemen, of all places, they too are a reservoir of hate, although the average Iranian is not happy about that. The Mullahs rule with an iron fist over an unhappy population, retaining power through a reign of terror.

Karen Townsend (below) writes about Iran frequently, and her work is worth following.

The path forward is shrouded in doubt and hesitation.

[Success of any kind] must include booting the corrupt [United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East] UNRWA, which spreads hatred and allies with Hamas, and a systematic dismantling of the current ‘governments’ in these territories and formal rule by something similar to the old mandate system—people from the outside establishing order where there is none.

That will mean foreign troops on the ground, and that is a disaster in the making as well.

Who wants to be surrounded by savages bent on murdering anybody who impedes their desire to kill others?

Also, there are children and possibly some innocents among the vast majority of Palestinians who support terror as a weapon.

One would have thought, without actually seeing how long hatred can persist, that the fire would burn out. Alas, it shows no sign of doing so even after the better part of a century.

And still one thing is certain: Nothing close to statehood should be allowed for the current crop of people calling themselves Palestinians. Only the insane and those possessing sinister motives would propose such an option.

Final thought: The aid going to the West Bank and Gaza is not being freely received by the people who call themselves Palestinian. Perhaps this should be the first problem to tackle.
